My family and I love this cabin, it is clean and well equipped, there are 2 rooms and a bathroom upstairs, a living room and dining table downstairs, the living room has a gas fireplace, and a bathroom with a shower room. It was quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Vintage Lakeside Inn, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Despite being a bit farther away from Big Bear City Skiing Center, the price-to-value ratio is excellent, offering fantastic amenities for the cost. The cozy atmosphere of the hotel made me feel right at home, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. What truly made my stay memorable, however, was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were incredibly helpful and kind, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Vintage Lakeside Inn for its great value, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding customer service, despite its distance from Big Bear City Skiing Center.

Live in the Palm Springs area which gets super hot from time...

Live in the Palm Springs area which gets super hot from time to time in the summer. We drove up to Big Bear Lake for some cooler temps and enjoy swimming in the cool lake. We camped in the National Forest in Fawnskin, across the lake from the main downtown area. Short drive, about 15 minutes to anything you want/need in town. We drove in for lunch, dinner and to enjoy the lake. Biking around the lake is fun and rentals are everywhere. Kayak, pontoon boats, paddle boats and boards are all available. There are several public sandy beach areas to enjoy too. We like the area near the dam. Big Bear is like a much smaller and less developed Lake Tahoe. Lots of lodging options and activities like hiking, biking, swimming, boating etc. The food scene has improved but still too many average places that all seem to serve the same fare...hamburgers, pizzas and fries.

We love Big Bear and try to get up there every chance we can...

We love Big Bear and try to get up there every chance we can get, no matter the season. Locals are so friendly and helpful every where you go, Touristy time is best to avoid because you will be dealing with a lot of inconsiderate people who don't respect the area. Lot's to do, and hidden gems people don't often know about - go karting, the zoo, etc. I recommend for anyone to go to Big Bear if you want a small town feel with a mountain escape. If you are going to eat out, check reviews and pricing, some restaurants can be pricey due to it being hard to get certain things up the mountain.

Big Bear Lake and Village is a wonderful, pet friendly place to visit for couples, families and/or friends. We visited in July, so our activities included trail hikes, kayaking, a narrated lake tour, live music, and great food. The Village is very quaint with shops, restaurants, bars with live music, etc. Be sure to walk, run or bike the Alpine Pedal Path on the North Shore.

My husband and I were in Big Bear Lake for a weekend in July. The weather was fantastic compared to the Vegas summer that we're used to. The town is pretty. The lake is smaller than we thought it would be, and smelly. A huge portion is "no wake zone" so there isn't a big area for jet skiing etc. Big Bear Village was nice to walk around - lots of decent restaurants to eat at. Rosa's has great margaritas. North Pole ice cream and chocolates were yummy. We also ate breakfast at PJs & Waffles - that was good and the staff were very friendly and enjoyable. Big Bear was a nice drivable trip for us, but overall for a lake vacation, we prefer Polson MT/Flat Head Lake.

These are cute cabins close to the centre of a cute town. We were here in summer so didn't see the place in full swing, but we still enjoyed checking out the lake, and the many spectacular views around town, as well as when we were driving down the mountain back towards LA.
