It's pretty quiet during the week, we were there on a...

It's pretty quiet during the week, we were there on a Tuesday/Wednesday. we ate at the fireside kitchen, good food, friendly staff and strong margarita. quite a few restaurants and entertainment places were closed during our stay. there are a lot of places to stop and walk, see nature off of the highway between Black Hawk and Denver.

Black Hawk is a beautiful city.

Black Hawk is a beautiful city. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The brunch at the Monarch Casino is delightful. Plan on spending $60 per person for that. The casinos also have promotions that allow you to win discounted meals at the various restaurants through slot or table play. There is a free shuttle that runs up and down the strip, allowing you to visit the Black Hawk casinos, as well as central city casinos. It is a nice place to stay. There is also a casino shuttle that will bring you to Blackhawk and also back to the major surrounding cities like Denver and Aurora. A round trip ticket is very inexpensive. I would definitely recommend Blackhawk Colorado for those who want to gamble and have a good time.

The area is beautiful.

The area is beautiful. The town had a promotion going on which encouraged us to visit all the shops and restaurants, which we did. Best places to go Copper Kitchen Pizzeria for lunch. We had the best time there. The waiter Chris was amazing. Ted Garcia Gallery was also amazing, and we had a great time at Mountain Poppy Boutique & Gift. There is a lot more to do then just gamble in Blackhawk

A beautiful area for gambling, spending time with friends, and close to Central City for sightseeing, with a very walkable location. If you go early in the week, such as Monday and Tuesday, you might find many restaurants closed on those days. It was enjoyable to explore the various casinos and take in the different restaurants, coffee shops, and all-night options. There aren't many convenience store options, so bring essentials with you from the start (bottled water, in-room snacks, etc.).

We love the location and beauty of Black Hawk.

We love the location and beauty of Black Hawk. We had not been there in 20 years and although it has changed over the years it's still the small quaint area we remember. We wished there were more breakfast options as none of the restaurants open until 10:00 a.m. on the main strip & if you do find a "snack bar" type place they do not serve full breakfast they only serve a couple options such as a breakfast burrito or english muffin breakfast sandwich.

Get out of the heat and rushing about your daily life. Gambling is comparable to other casinos; plenty of slots to tables to choose. At least this time of year, August, weekends are when you would want to go if you are interested in buffets and finer restaurants

We were presently surprised how nice the hotel was and how comfortable the bed was. The room was clean and a really nice size. There was several different foods options to choose from and the casino was really close.
