Colorado

Colorado’s Rocky Mountains are its signature, a playground of alpine peaks, wildflower meadows, and world-class ski resorts. Known for outdoor adventure, craft beer, and dramatic national parks, the state serves up active family vacations and solo escapes filled with hiking, skiing, and laid-back mountain-town charm.

See Rocky Mountain National Park and Mesa Verde’s cliff dwellings. Hike or drive Trail Ridge Road, or try a family lake walk. Stay in Denver for flights and culture, Estes Park for RMNP access, and Durango for Mesa Verde, scenic railways, southwest charm, and hot springs.

Amazing place! The rooms are right on the river and complimentary s'more's were offered every night of our stay. Easy walking distance to main shops and only a 5 minute drive from the entrance to RMNP. We even saw a small herd of mule dear right outside the property gates! Also love the rustic vibe of the place. Couldn’t ask for a better spot in Estes!

Denver

Don't much care for downtown Denver. Criminal activity at 7 11 on Colfax on way home from restaurant. Stopped for water and fuel. Could have done with law enforcement patrol. Denver is a starting location for rocky mountain access . Nothing more

Colorado Springs

This is a place where our family meets for family reunions for many years. The elevators didn’t work. Lack of luggage carts made it hard to get our stuff to floor 4. Also my daughter and I got stuck in the elevator and maintenance man had to help get us out of the elevator. The doors in our room made it hard to close and open. They seemed like they swell or need adjusting. My frig was room temperature and when we finally figured out how to adjust temperature everything froze including my grandsons milk. My sheets and towels are white and had stains on them. One day on the buffet which was amazing but it was low staffed and every table had dirty dishes on them. Staff seemed to not keep up with the food for the volume of people that came in. Hotel is beautiful but needs some updates to elevators and hire more staff would be a great start.

The round a bouts in this town are crazy.
Glenwood Springs

The round a bouts in this town are crazy. But after awhile it got better. The taco trucks were great. The adventure park is not for the faint of heart. Cave guide was great. Went white water rafting. It was lots of fun. Went on a utv tour guide was Alyssa she was fantastic. I think it was called adventure outdoors. She took out pictures and helped us pick out rocks with crystals on them. We would have had to buy those rocks in town. Hot springs were great we preferred iron mountain hot springs. Two rivers park we liked a lot for hiking.

Durango is an interesting place to live, work and play. The homeless problem is a serious concern that the city should address as soon as they can. Finding may be an issue but there should be more people assigned to this project.

Boulder

I liked its location most. Food was within walking distance. Colorado Boulder University was very close to hotel. I was expecting FREE complimentary breakfast but that wasn’t the case. You could order something but you had to pay for it-Not Complimentary at all! Area was in a quiet neighborhood. Free parking. You could play family games or rock climb their wall. Outdoor comfort. I enjoyed my stay & I highly recommend it to all travelers wanting to visit Boulder, CO.

Vail

We liked our very first trip to Vail 4 years ago. We normally goto Breck but we were just just reminded of how everything is overpriced. The food, restaurants... If you're planning to have homecooked meals, there are nearby markets to shop which is what we did. We just didn't feel it was worth the amount of $ to be spent on food everynight. We'll be going to Breck from now on and if we really want to return it's because of the back bowl powder skiing.

Denver

Denver is a fantastic city with a great atmosphere, friendly people, and plenty to see and do. I especially enjoyed how clean, well organized, and easy to get around the city is, with beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains. It's a destination I'd gladly visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a mix of urban life and outdoor activities.
