The cabin was well equipped with all you need for your stay. The small river flows near by was very nice and we felt in the middle of the forest. The location in only 3 miles from the Rocky mountains NP.

Amazing place! The rooms are right on the river and complimentary s'more's were offered every night of our stay. Easy walking distance to main shops and only a 5 minute drive from the entrance to RMNP. We even saw a small herd of mule dear right outside the property gates! Also love the rustic vibe of the place. Couldn’t ask for a better spot in Estes!

RMNP is right by Estes, so visiting the park was so easy when staying in Estes. Estes itself is a very fun tourist town. Lots of great places to eat and fun shopping. Kids loved the go carting available at several places in town. Its a great family vacation location!

Although Grand Lake has scenic beauty and a tremendous body...

Although Grand Lake has scenic beauty and a tremendous body of water, the downtown area lacks for good breakfast restaurant, would be my number one complaint. The places we ate some meals at were very good, but the price per item was over the top. We found that to also be true of the one gas station in town, and one of two grocery stores. Obviously being the last city before entering Rocky Mountain National Park, has it's advantages, and the commercial district sure does take advantage of it. Prices in the retail stores were outrageously high, for even the simplest item. I remarked to my wife after a stroll down Grand Avenue, and going into many of the local shops was,"these mechanist are really around of their mech, and they will probably get stuck with a lot of when it comes time to sell or close their doors!" Only one recognizable, nationally known brand was seen by us in the entire town, ACE Hardware. No Mac Donalds, no Dairy Queen, no Pizza Hut, no Wal-Mart, Waffle House, Walgreens. Looks like the town fathers banned business that could provide competitive pricing for their people.

When we got to the hotel the Indian gentleman who was supposed to take our reservation and give us a room was incredibly rude! I had a little girl with me who had if he really badly she had been in the car for a long time and he wouldn't allow her to use the restroom when I questioned him as to why he couldn't let her go somewhere he threw my credit card at me and he threw my driver's license across the counter at me and told me to leave. So I never got to stay in that hotel and I'm hoping that I will be able to get money back for this day that we did not get too enjoy. I went to the Baymont inn a couple of doors over and they were incredibly polite and said that a lot of people have issues with that man and that he is incredibly rude to almost everyone.

Allenspark is a magical place tucked away in the Rockies of Colorado! I loved the location - far away from the business of Estes Park and Lyons, CO but close enough to explore and join the crowds if you wish to do so. I enjoyed the variety of hiking trails on the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park and being close enough to go grab a beer in Estes/Lyons. Allenspark is a gateway to hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives!!

This is a beautiful location with a cool town and friendly atmosphere. It's very laid back, has many different restaurant selections, and friendly staff everywhere you go. The town is just big enough to offer something to everyone, but small enough to feel very personable and comfortable. We experienced Rocky Mountain National Park, several great hikes, and good food and shopping! We loved the hike to Adams Falls and beyond, walking around the dock at Grand Lake, and the entire main street. The ice cream shops were awesome and plenty of variety! This was our first trip to Grand Lake and I anticipate many more trips in the future.

I used to LOVE Loveland, but we hadn't been there for 20 years or so. We were lost most of the time because the computer directions and the actual directions in the NEW part of Loveland were not even close to being the same as the computer map gave us. The street names and numbers were confusing. A filling station attendant got us to the motel, and a person at a store LED us to the hospital. Get your directions to the motel fixed on the computer page. We were late getting to the hospital. The city gave us no warning about long stops at stop lights, and the traffic was scary because we couldn't read street signs until we were too close to change lanes. Being a nervous wreck from the night before my husband had to see a doctor in Fort Morgan after we got home. The hospital where my appointment was couldn't or wouldn't help him. I recommend that old people don't come to Loveland without detailed instructions on how to get where.

We were in Grandy for a travel golf trip. We played 4 nearby courses and enjoyed a Pontoon boat excursion one day and a trip to the town of Lake Grandby. Plenty of fun restaurants nearby and great City market for groceries and incidentals. The weather was variable with great sunshine most of the time and a few late day showers and thunderstorms.

This is a cute little community outside of Estes Park.

This is a cute little community outside of Estes Park. I did not stay very long since I had to return home from my vacation. While I was there, the community had a 4th of July celebration with a parade and community events. It was obvious that this is a close knit group of people! There is a gas station, restaurant, and a few stores. It is an easy drive to Estes Park, but without the overpriced lodging! If you want a laid-back place to stay after exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, this is perfect! The Wild Basin entrance to the park is just a stones throw away from Allenspark. BEAUTIFUL trail to explore!
