Really cute lodging in the desert. Liked the pools and all the facilities. The gardens are lovely. Staff are friendly. We only stayed a night but wishes it was more as they have put so much effort into making this a great oasis in the desert with lots of stuff to do. Rooms were comfy and clean.

We had a wonderful experience at this motel. The room was charming, clean, convenient, and affordable and the pool was refreshing. The host was accommodating and even recommended that we visit a floral bloom down the road which was spectacular.

The house is very large with large bedrooms and a beautiful living room with a drop dead gorgeous view of the mountains. There was a full kitchen, which we did not use, choosing to eat out instead. It is in a beautiful, very friendly, gated development. As two women travelling alone, we felt very safe there. It was easily accessible to Borrego Springs. I would heartily recommend.

What Guests Said About Borrego Springs:

Very small town, and that's fine.

Very small town, and that's fine. Go to Anza Borrego only if you like to hike and don't mind parking your vehicle where there is not a formal parking area. Many of the park's most celebrated sites are spread out, and much of it requires a 4x4 vehicle to access. Anza is a lot less crowded than Joshua Tree, even on weekends, and that's a plus. Choose your route carefully, especially if you prefer to avoid two-lane roads with 20 mph curves.

Cute little town where you can tell the locals really care about each other and the good of the town. Lots of unique little shops. Caters more to adults (esp older adults) but some fun spots for little ones too like the Fudge Factory. Explore the town in an hour or two, explore the state park in a day or two!

Borrego Springs is the best place to stay if you want to visit Anza-Borrego State Park. There are plenty of dining options, grocery, a tire shop, etc. I'm sure it's scorching hot in summer but February was a great time to be there. For dining, I would avoid Carlee's. I had great meals at the Red Ocotillo and Kendall's Cafe. My main purpose for this trip was hiking and sightseeing in the state park, and Borrego Springs is a central point for those kind of adventures. The main visitors center for the park is on the edge of town and has a campground and several trails. I drove to other areas of the park to hike - get a good map because cell service is spotty. Carry lots of water - choose life.

If you like the beauty of the desert, this is a wonderful place to visit. Some recent rain had turned the desert green, and multitudes of wild flowers were beginning to grow/bloom. There are plenty of casual and friendly eateries, and the art-museum (free) is a Jewel.

Borrego Springs is a small town.

Borrego Springs is a small town. You come here for the desert, the wild flowers, the night sky. Entertainment is mostly live music at a few restaurants/pubs. There are a couple gas stations and a few grocery stores. Of course, you have to see the Galleta Sculptures in the surrounding desert. They are a bit spread out, so if you aren't into hiking in desert heat, it's best to drive. It does involve some "off-road" driving. But a typical car is fine to use. Just beware of bumps & ruts. We find two nights and days just about right.

it tidy and clean, quite property, no commercial feeling in the area. you can enjoy the stay with your family or love one especially at the milky sky. I love it more than 29 palms as not more commercial activities but certainly, there are restaurant and shops. the down side is it really hot! I wish to visit again during winter to feel the cold!

A fantastic location!!! The house is beautiful so that we immediately felt at home and didn't miss anything. Ranchita is located well above Borrego Springs, about 25 minutes away, making it much more pleasant in terms of temperature. Eagle Rock, in the other direction, can also be reached in the same amount of time. Roberta always responded super quickly to all messages and provided us with all important informations in advance! We would love to come back for a longer stay!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! :)

I stay at this hotel whenever I'm in Borrego Springs. It is quiet and well maintained. Everything in the room worked. The staff is always pleasant. It's convenient, but far enough away from the Christmas Circle (about 2 miles) to be away from the noise & crowds. Yet, it's near the wild flower areas. Dog friendly. Though I've always stayed in a room, there are vintage Airstreams for rent.

Great location, between Anza Borrego State Park visitor center, and town of Borrego Springs. Liked the kitschy? façades, landscaping (lots of bird), and room.

The property is a hotel and an RV park. The rooms are fairly spacious, but they don’t provide housekeeping for the price I felt they should.
