Great short stay for us. Just a short drive into town and a great location. The facilities were well maintained with plenty of stuff to do. The cabins were clean and well set up. The staff were friendly and polite and offered their knowledge on the local area. Would definitely stay again.

Great location with proximity to downtown Buena Vista and access to so many great mountain biking trails. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. As we were just there for one night, we chose not to bring our camper and opted to stay in one of their bunk house rooms. Very clean and spacious. Complimentary coffee in the am.

We traveled in mid April, and it turns out quite a number of the restaurants and shops we like to frequent were still closed for the season. But the town is very picturesque, and it has quite a few great dining and shopping options during peak season. Turns out shoulder season may not be the optimal time to come, but then again, there is a lot of great hiking along the Arkansas River, both in and around town and south in the Browns Canyon area. And it was kind of nice not to have crowded trails. It's also a reasonable drive down to Salida, which is also a wonderful place to explore.

Treating this trip as a reconnaissance mission, I will definitely have Buena Vista (BV) on the list for a re-visit. The court house/old school is well worth a visit and the staff have all the time in the world to chat and run through the history of the building. Eddyline Brewery tap is well worth a visit for some great craft beer. Next time I’ll be visiting their restuaarant/pub on the oither side of town.

After a few days at the Mt.

After a few days at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, we stayed at Buffalo Peaks Bed and Breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at both. My husband played 9 holes at the Collegiate Peaks Golf Course while I went shopping on Main Street. My favorite was the Luna Vista Revival Consignment shop. I discovered the Buena Vista Heritage Museum and was impressed. Brought my husband back to see the model railroad exhibit, and the man there told us about some tunnels about 10 minutes from town, so we drove over to see them. Very cool! Enjoyed lunch at a food truck and ice cream afterward. We attended a free concert in the park in the evening and then explored the area around the Surf Hotel before having a delicious burger at Buena Viking. Watch out for the deer when driving in town. I saw a cute little spotted fawn on the sidewalk with its mama.

Buena Vista is a cute little historic town with beautiful views in every direction. This weekend was for friends to get together for a reunion. Buena Vista is very easy to navigate and has lots of parks with rivers to enjoy. The townsfolk are welcoming and added to our enjoyment of the weekend.

Very cool little mountain town that is growing again, which is exciting (although there is the fog of gentrification hanging over it like all towns that grow like this). Loads of activities in the area, so if you're active, you'll love it. South Main is the "new" area of town but the main street has most of the restaurants - and there are some good ones! They also have great bands come through. If I meet you at the Buena Viking bar gimme a holla!

Buena Vista and Salida had so many good restaurants and shops. The towns are laid back and not overcrowded. We went horseback riding at Princeton stables and dog sledding in Leadville. Both activities were amazing. The rivers, mountains and trails were all breathtaking.

We loved Buffalo Peaks Lodge, a stunning house just outside of Buena Vista, surrounded by nature and the Golf Course. Perfect place to relax after a long day on the road. Paz was absolutely lovely, she served us a delicious breakfast and shared us many stories and interesting advises on the area. We would love to be back one day! Thanks Paz!

The amenities in the room, top-notch, really appreciated the tea and the espresso machine. Bathrooms were lovely. Everyone on the staff was very nice, and we enjoyed having breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The hotel is beautifully situated next to the river.
