We really loved how quiet and peaceful it was throughout the whole day and at night! We also loved how clean everything was and it smelled clean! Also the hand soap smelled really good! Overall the whole experience was really fun and definitely going back!

Carrizozo is a small community.

Carrizozo is a small community. Our stay was for travelling back home to Canada. The people we meet were very polite and courteous. the motel while being nothing to look at from the outside our rooms we booked were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly owner - was more than accommodating when I was running behind on my check-in by a few hours because of a flat tire and some traffic. Was even willing to share his food with me since most of the restaurants in town had closed by the time I got in around 10:15pm. Very down to earth. Accommodations were great and the facility was clean, the guest room was comfortable, plenty of hot water. Fuel stations right behind the area made it easy to walk in and grab a bite to eat and fill up before leaving the following morning.

There’s always that smell when you come into a hotel room. Old cigarette smoke, musty, perfumey cleaners, but this time it was the smell of bleach, not overwhelming, but bleach. Now to me, if I have to have a smell in a hotel room a little bit of bleach is a good smell so for me actually that was the best thing about staying at The Four Winds, because I knew that whatever they did clean with it was cleaned well.

The hotel is a good value. The lack of breakfast benefits local businesses (Jenn's Sweet Spot was particularly good). I was surprised by the appearance of the shower area. Lots of space in the room.

Accommodations were made and shared with guests to view the solar eclipse. Carrizozo has a great little business district with much character, and a personable mayor who was also very accommodating.

Room was nice, clean, had everything one would expect but all was just in nicer condition than you’d think for a hotel in a small town. Nice place would like to stay here again!
