The location was great. It was exactly what we look for while traveling. We are not fans of large hotels rather the quaint motels with all the nostalgic feeling yet up to date amenities. We will definitely stay next time we are in the area

We love the Connecticut shoreline.

We love the Connecticut shoreline. We enjoyed the town docks and nearby Madison Racquet and Swim Club and their summer camp. We enjoyed Old Saybrook beaches and shopping and the quaintness of the area. Lenny & Joe’s in Madison has a carousel and outdoor ice cream for the kiddos which is fun. We also found Clinton laundromat excellent for our laundry needs. Definitely car is best option around here.

I discovered this motel a few years ago.

I discovered this motel a few years ago. I stay there about four times a year now. Sometimes alone and sometimes with others. Close to beaches, good restraunts and outlets. The owners are great and the rooms are clean. The price us perfect.

No frills but clean and good size with fair good value and I...

No frills but clean and good size with fair good value and I would recommend this location to anyone traveling in the area and wants a clean inexpensive room in a nice area who will be out of the room more than in traveling. Has TV, fridge, microwave all good just what we needed. look forward to seeing the pool open in the warm months of the year and nice bonus.

The town was lovely...

The town was lovely... A salty, scenic New England small town with tons of charm! -The accommodations were fine for sleep and a shower. -A safe place to stay, -not too swanky, when you'd rather put your resources into a day of bicycling, kayaking, browsing, walking, local eateries, or just sipping coffee and enjoying the view and other artisan offerings..

We’ve been to the Clinton/eastern shoreline of CT many many...

We’ve been to the Clinton/eastern shoreline of CT many many times. Usually camp with our motorhome but the season is over. This hotel worked great for our overnight need. We had a marvelous dinner at Luigis in Old Saybrook, which NEVER disappoints! And it’s worth a 15 minute trip to Madison to Hammonasett Beach State Park-great walking opportunities!
