Dayton is a city on the recovery. It is a very beautiful city with nice parks and good food. There is a lot to do in Dayton and the area. Just remember Dayton is a working class city. There are a lot of industrial parts.

Whether traveling north or south on I-75, or east/west on I-70, Dayton can be a terrific place to stop overnight. Or, make the stay a couple of days! The Air Force Museum is a must-see, featuring aircraft from all eras and so much more. And, it's FREE! Seriously! Terrific local restaurants like Jimmy's Ladder 11 in the downtown area, and Marion's Piazza (that's how it's spelled!) with a bunch of locations. Wonderful colleges, including U. of Dayton, Wright State, and Sinclair College. Dayton also boasts some terrific Metro parks, and has 5 major waterways running thru the area. Oh, Dayton is also home to the Wright brothers, Erma Bombeck, and Jonathan Winters! What do I know about Dayton? We lived there for 14 years, and recently moved to be closer to our adult children and grandkids. Believe me - that is the only reason, but we'll be back soon to visit. Enjoy your stay!

Dayton was home to me for years we ate at gold star Chile. Love it. Grandson the chicken sandwich was great. And we went to Marion's pizza 3 nights. Went to Esther price candy. And visited with my 102 year old aunt

We only went to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, which is phenomenal. We took relatives who had never visited there before. You can't beat the admission price -- FREE! And the planes are incredible. We arrived as soon as they opened and one member of our party was able to get a scooter, which was a godsend. WPAFB is HUGE and has concrete floors, so walking is not always easy. Wear comfortable shoes if you plan to tour the museum!!

The Dayton area is a wonderful area.

The Dayton area is a wonderful area. There is plenty to see and do. Outdoor spaces are plentiful and lively. While the traffic looks more amd more like Cincinnati every year, if you avoid worker traffic, it isn't too bad. Check out the AIr Force Museum! It is spectacular and you can spend an entire day and not see it all,

We were in Dayton, Ohio for only one evening and stayed at The Drury Inn & Suites (Dayton, North). Therefore, we cannot really comment on the city itself, since we left the next morning. However, The Drury Inn & Suites was phenomenal! The Dayton, North area was packed with restaurants of all kinds, never saw so many in one place (near our hotel). We can only comment on our hotel experience because we did NOT venture out; too tired from the drive. Here is our review for the hotel: The Drury Inn & Suites (Dayton North, OH) was one of the FINEST hotels we've ever visited. The staff, managers and wait-staff were all polite, friendly, well informed, attentive and approachable. The room was EXTREMELY comfortable, clean and spacious. The extra benefits such as complimentary drinks and dinner were more than we expected. It was an all around EXCEPTIONAL and OUTSTANDING experience. The message behind this family-owned franchise is clear; they aim to please with EXCELLENCE, without pillaging your working-class wallet. Only wish there were more of their hotels throughout our country. We would highly recommend The Drury Inn & Suites.

I use Drury Hotels as my goal post on my way to South Florida on I 75. I take 3 days to travel from Simcoe, Ontario, Canada to South Florida. I never drive at night. 3 Drury Hotels, provide a level of consistent excellence with peace of mind. The snack in the evening is a massive understatement, and the breakfast excellent. The coffee is delicious! The uniform excellence of this family owned hotel chain makes it feel like home. It's like I went to bed and got up 7 or 8 hours south from where I started.

The hotel charge me the room and booking .com charge it to me another time so i have to pay trwice the amont nobody answer the phone at the hotel and boooking.com those not repond to my questionning!!!!!! Everthing was almost perfect. the staff incredible. except for the bathtub the cleanness was perfect. the breakfast was a bit cold but we were late it was almost close
