GermanySuper friendly staff. The golf carts around the property keep it quiet but accessible. We could see lots of animals that way. Food is delicious and the pool was amazing. Also a perfect spot from which to explore Death Valley.

Our daughter wanted to visit Death Valley to see the stars.
Our daughter wanted to visit Death Valley to see the stars. It wasn’t on my list of places to stop but after seeing it, I am glad we did. We were o ly there for a day, but we enjoyed seeing the sand dunes and staying out late to see the stars.

Do not stay for only 2 nights, there are many things to see...
Do not stay for only 2 nights, there are many things to see and do here. It is hot during the day so early mornings, late afternoons are the go. Stay at The Ranch, heaps of eating options and get the pool experience in of an evening.

Better than I expected overall.
Better than I expected overall. My only limitation was not being able to do as much hiking as I would’ve liked since I had my dog with me, but the scenery and viewpoints in Death Valley National Park are absolutely epic.
Highly recommend hitting Badwater Basin, Zabriskie Point, and the drive through Artists Drive with a stop at Artist’s Palette. The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes are also a must-see, especially near sunset.
If you’ve got an extra time or an extra day, it’s worth heading just outside the park to the ghost town of Rhyolite Ghost Town, and Beatty, Nevada is a great spot to fuel up and grab a bite (about $3 per gallon cheaper than Death Valley).

A wonderful place to visit during the cool months.
A wonderful place to visit during the cool months. A surprising variety of different landscapes from the salt flats at the lowest point in the 48 states to the mountain viewpoints and the various canyons in between. Don't miss Zabriskie Point, the Artists' Palette, or Mosaic Canyon.

I had to check this off my bucket list, the scenery was...
I had to check this off my bucket list, the scenery was different from anywhere else. we spend 2 full days visiting all the sights and hike some of the easier trails. Overall there to see the Desert beauty. I would rate it 8/10.

You can't beat the scenery and geology.
You can't beat the scenery and geology. Go in the winter when the high temperature is 60 degF. Great hiking; can be very challenging though, so do your homework before choosing one. Unusual rains before our visit created a lake in Badwater Basin. Road south of there was washed out. Always check DVNP website before visiting. Expect a fair amount of driving; most of it is easy.
