We loved our stay here! The location was great in a quiet area. The house was decorated very tastefully in a beach theme. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. The beach chairs, towels, and coolers were great for beach days. They really thought of everything, and I would definitely rent again.

Englewood is one of those rare Florida beach towns that...

Englewood is one of those rare Florida beach towns that still feels real. It’s not overbuilt, overcrowded, or overpriced like a lot of the bigger names — and that’s exactly why I like it. The beaches are clean, calm, and never too packed. Manasota Key and Englewood Beach are both gems — soft sand, clear Gulf water, and great for shelling or just kicking back. You can park, walk right out, and you’re there. No chaos. The town itself has this laid-back, old Florida feel. You’ve got friendly locals, mom-and-pop restaurants, and shops that don’t feel corporate. You can grab fresh seafood at a dockside spot, then watch the sun drop into the water without fighting a crowd. There’s also a ton of nature — kayaking in Lemon Bay, fishing off the piers, even looking for shark teeth at Stump Pass Beach State Park. If you’re into boats, bikes, or beaches, it’s a dream. It’s the kind of place where you can breathe. You don’t feel rushed. You don’t feel watched. Just warm sun, blue water, and peace.

Everything was wonderful. Host was the BEST.

Everything was wonderful. Host was the BEST. Very accommodating. Comforts of home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Made a lot of friends. Listen to the wonderful sound at sunset EVERY evening. A great bunch of friends were made! Placida Grill has excellent food as does Farlow’s and Ken and Barb’s!

It’s been over 20 years since we’ve visited englewood and...

It’s been over 20 years since we’ve visited englewood and this visit we enjoyed with our daughter who just finished college. We were able to share all of our favorites, Englewood beach looking for shark teeth, Sharkey’s restaurant, etc. Englewood is close by to so many other places like Punta Gorda, Sarasota and Venice so having a place in Englewood as home base makes perfect sense and it’s not a crazy busy area so you can really relax!!!!! There are loads of places to eat nearby and hopefully on our next visit, the new restaurant at the end of the street will be open!

I love that Englewood is still a quiet “old Florida” town. If you want a beautiful beach this is your place. If you’re looking for nightlife, this isn’t the place…but it’s great for families and beach lovers

The location is great with bars close by they can be a bit noisy though. Beach is over the road to the property with private access. Property could do with an upgrade. The boat docks are very accessible.

Englewood compared to other locations in Florida is quiet, but that gives it a great deal of charm. We visited a Farmer's Market and met local people who were dealing with local issues. At the same time we could have bought local produce, listen to local musicians who were scattered around the market as we enjoyed excellent drinks. Near the property was a bar/cafe on the side of the creek (4 minutes walk) where you could enjoy a burger &chips washed down with a beer, all reasonably priced.

It was very cute and romantic. A small table was set in front of the bed complete with wine glasses. It had a nice fan by the bed ( which I used) and remotes for it. They had an umbrella. beach chairs and sand digger. The location is wonderful! One block to the left is Lemon Bay for sunrises and one block to the right is the a Gulf for sunsets. It even had a heated waterfall pool with relaxing jets. This was our 1st trip to the area and was not disappointed!

We loved our stay. The property is every bit as beautiful as the pictures posted online depicted. James is an ethical and very responsive host, which was greatly appreciated for any issues that came up. You can be sure that we will check here first for openings on our next trip to the Englewood area.
