Maybe the best place I’ve ever stayed. I felt like I was in a palace. I took a group hiking, and my car broke down. Scott, the owner went out into the desert, picked us up and drove us all the way to Kanab. He spent half a day trying to help us and he did not charge a penny. Good Samaritan on steroids. You must stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay in this little log cabin! While the cabin is small, it's perfectly cozy and just the right size for two. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was spotless. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. The shared bathrooms and showers are just outside and were exceptionally clean, with a warm, homey feel that made them a pleasure to use. The garden is beautifully landscaped with stunning views all around—such a peaceful place to relax. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. We also ate at the restaurant next door and were pleasantly surprised—delicious homemade food and even real Caesar dressing, which is hard to find! The location couldn’t be better—right next to Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, making it super convenient for exploring. We can’t recommend this glamping site enough. A wonderful stay all around!

Great location, only a few minutes from town and easy access to all the best hikes! The place itself is so cute. We loved that there was a full kitchen and nice bathroom. My dog loved going for sunrise walks. And friendly hosts! :)

I have traveled to Escalante so many times and never get enough of the adjacent Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I hate the fact that Trump shrank this place by 90%. This place is a gem. Protect our public lands. Hayduke Lives!!!!!

Escalante has been on my bucket list for hiking in Utah for...

Escalante has been on my bucket list for hiking in Utah for many years. We were blessed with warm and dry conditions for early March. The locals, not so happy. They needed snow and it looks like their drought will result in another hot spring and summer. Our hikes were both gorgeous and fulfilling. Hole in the Rock road was beautifully graded making access to the more remote slot canyons enjoyable. The Escalante river was running and we did many hikes crossing the water between giant sandstone walls. Magical place!

Plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking- Calf Creek Falls is always popular. Great views for photography or painting. Good places to eat, if they are open. Several shops selling outdoor gear as well as tour operators.

We enjoyed our time at Cowboy Country Inn because management was well organized and super efficient. The wifi and Direct TV were exceptional. Escalante has a Catholic church with a Sunday 5 pm Mass. Don't miss Escalante Outfitters - great pizza, exceptional coffee!

A lot to do. Tried to book a tour but no availability. So if you are planning to do one, book early. There was only 1 restaurant that open while we were there. We love the Petrified Forest, Escalante River hike, Lower Calf Falls, as well as the Long Slot Canyon. Some of the attractions need a 4x4. Wish we knew ahead of time. Overall, very enjoyable! Cute little town with lots to do.

It was a great place, would be fun to rent the entire place with a big group. As I told the owners the back patio needs a little work to make it more welcoming to hang out on. It does not have an hotel or lodge feeling. Lots up junk that needs cleaning up or a fence separating you from the shop surrounding. Also you apparently have to rent for more than one night to have access to use washer and dryer.

Very nice clean two decent rooms combined, with a cowboy look. I just recently realized owner operated hotels in good neighborhoods are the way to go, they care more then chain motels, but the price is vary from inexpensive / to a little higher. I think it's worth it. I sent pictures back home because wall art / kitchen table really neat. You don't see that anywhere...

Great location in Escalante, cottages are set in a flower garden, each has a small patio where you can enjoy a drink. Bathrooms and showers are in the center area, extremely clean with amenities. There is a lovely restaurant on the premises that serves great food. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little place to stay in Escalante and Tom (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with and talk to. Room was clean and comfortable, had a decent shower, was quiet (no children allowed!) and Tom provides some free coffee and tea in the morning.
