The Traveler's Nest is built into the attic space of a 100 year old home. A truly unique accommodation with many angles and ample sunlight, this apartment has everything you need after a day of exploring. Please note this apartment is upstairs. Escalante is in the heart of some of the most stunningly scenic areas in the country. Highway 12 is an experience you will never forget!
I bought The Desert Farm in September of 2025. I truly enjoy the role of innkeeper, and feel honored to host travelers. I started visiting this area in 2009 and moved here full time in the spring of 2021. I love the abundance of wild open spaces and mind-blowing geology that go on for mile after mile in this area. I hike almost every day with my little dog Mo.
There are a few good restaurants in town, a couple grocery stores, a yoga studio, chiropractor, and massage therapist. Nice town park next door to Griffin Grocery.
