This place is a gem! The bungalow was super cozy, we slept so well in the comfy bed, and it was truly magical to wake up surrounded by the redwood forest. It was our first time glamping and it exceeded our expectations. The outdoor hot shower under the trees was a real highlight, and even the composting toilet was simple to use. Such a needed chance to unplug and soak in the peace of nature. We can’t wait to come back!

We had some great meals at The Wharf Restaurant and Noyo...

We had some great meals at The Wharf Restaurant and Noyo River Grill. We took a long walk along the ocean on a paved walking/ biking trail from Glass Beach down to the wharf (about 3.5 miles.) We rode the Skunk Train in the evening to Glen Blair Bar, had some drinks and listened to live music and then checked out the Mendocino Botanical Gardens the following day-- both were great experiences.

Fort Bragg is a working town without elite destination...

Fort Bragg is a working town without elite destination pretensions. We love Noyo harbor and the rest of Fort Bragg for exactly that reason. Food and lodging are reasonably priced. The coast off Fort Bragg is dramatic and accessible. There is a coastal bike path that spans the entire town from south to north that is well worth taking. The town is close to Hendy Woods State Park, Montgomery Woods, Russian Gulch and Van Damme State parks, as well as many other great destinations. Mendocino, its upscale neighbor to the south, is well worth visiting.

Fort Bragg is one of those places that invites you to slow...

Fort Bragg is one of those places that invites you to slow down and simply be present. The people are genuinely friendly, the town is peaceful, and the natural beauty is everywhere you look. We love exploring the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, enjoying breakfast at Cafe 1, (a must!), grabbing burgers at Jenny's Giant Burgers (so much nostalgia!), and spending time by the ocean just listening to the waves. If you're looking to reset your nervous system, reconnect with nature, and truly relax, Fort Bragg is the perfect destination. It's not a place for a fast-paced itinerary, It's a place to breathe, unwind, and appreciate life's simple moments.

The town has been our favorite go to spot for over 40 years.

The town has been our favorite go to spot for over 40 years. We love sitting on the beach with our books or notepads to enjoy the waves crashing over the sea rocks then rolling toward shore. It is such a show that often our books and writings never get opened! A favorite winery with which to enjoy a similar view that has excellent wine and nibbles, is Pacific Star, approximately 10 miles north of Ft Bragg, a lovely winery with friendly owners and employees and and a view to die for from the comfort of adirondack chairs on the bluff. We often eat at The Wharf for dinner and the new owners have done a marvelous job updating the menu and the interior. For a delicious breakfast this time we ate at Cafe 1, a small organic popular spot with super good food and happy, friendly staff.

The Mendocino Botanical Gardens were great as was a day...

The Mendocino Botanical Gardens were great as was a day visit to McKerracher State Park. Nice walking path on the bluffs of Glass Beach. Lots of quirky little shops in downtown area. Fun touristy stuff.

I frequent FB!!! It’s one if my favorite coast towns!! Just everything! I’m a beach fan!! We ate at the Brewery Staff is super friendly! Meditation on the headlands. Easy to get around! Unless something is drastically changed. I would AVOID the Baymont Wyndham Motel!!!!!!! NASTY!

Beautiful views, large rooms. Nice bathroom, easy to find and park. Loved the large bath tub by the window from which we could watch the sunset and hear the harbor seals beg for food at the docks. Neutral: mattresses are very soft. I am not a fan but that's a personal thing :)
