United StatesI like how we could move the beds. We pushed them to the wall to have more space. I like how there’s two stove tops to save us from ordering out. We are moving to apartment so we did have the pots & pans with us but for someone who doesn’t have that it would be nice if it was included in the room or even get it from front desk. Speaking of front desk, the front desk manager, Valerie, was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! She’s super nice and just a wonderful person to be around. Loveeee seeing her!

The area has a wonderful selection of stores nearby.
The area has a wonderful selection of stores nearby. The Cracker Barrel Restaurant is next door and will deliver if you do not want to walk over. Carowinds is right across the street. They have wonderful places to worship nearby. Fast food is also across the street. Uber is available in just a few minutes.

Fort Mill is a great place to stay.
Fort Mill is a great place to stay. Especially if you're going to visit Carowinds. Be aware there's ongoing construction, the buildings and roads. But even with that. Since the busiest traffic is still light. I would highly recommend. A visit to Fort Mill just for A place to visit. There are plenty of down things to do downtown.

Some young girl kept wanting to charge me extra because I was 5 mins late to checkout due to using the bathroom.Very loud rude bust in my room with our knocking cussing and yelling and VERY unprofessional!!!! Never will come back unless they get rid of the young g girl who said she was a Manager?

Carowinds were great, not a favorite yet to tell of.
Carowinds were great, not a favorite yet to tell of. It were so hot we only did fries, but more drinks than normal. really didn't explore Fort Mill, we went for Carowind/Harbour. We didn't encounter anything to avoid.

There were minor problems such as no hair dryer in the room, and short on towels. Walls were not insulated so you could hear EVERYTHING around you, but the rooms were VERY clean and the breakfast was great. The BIG problem I had was it says it accepts dogs (which it did), BUT there was a $53.00 additional charge for the dog which we were not aware of until we got there to check in. It was too late to change to a different hotel. We have a therapy dog which travels with us and this is the first time we have been charged for the dog to stay with us. I understand if there was a refundable dog fee in case the dog damaged the room, but to just charge that much money for ALL dogs is not right. Due to this fact, we will never stay at a TRU hotel again.

Fort Mill was not the problem, it was the horrible hotel...
Fort Mill was not the problem, it was the horrible hotel that we reserved off Booking.com. Someone needs to be fired for having this hotel on your website. There were multiple police cars when we returned in the evening, the majority of the guests looked homeless. Some of the vehicles in the parking lot had so much stuff in them it looked like they were lived in. NO maintenance or upkeep done to the hotel and it just felt dirty, oddly enough the bedding seemed clean. The best thing that can happened to you at this hotel is that you just get lice or bedbugs, the worst is robbed, raped, stabbed or killed.

The place is very close to Carowinds, like 5 min drive away. Since I'm in the area only to visit the park, this is a big plus for me. Allowed me to pop in and out of the park easily, also to stay late in the park without worrying to drive a long way back to the hotel.
The room was big & comfortable.

I loved having a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator and the room was nice & clean. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of hot & cold choices. Staff were courteous & friendly. Location of the hotel was close to many great shops & restaurants.😊
