Staff from all shifts were friendly and very respectful. The hotel was centrally located to all areas of Franklin. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the mountains. Most of all very comfy bed!

Franklin is a lovely place and very easy to get around.

Franklin is a lovely place and very easy to get around. I was there for a family function so didn't have time to attend any other places, but the Scottish festival was happening and a Mark Chestnut concert. Both were right next door to the hotel, so easy to get to. The mountains were absolutely stunning!

Franklin is a small town with beautiful natural surroundings...

Franklin is a small town with beautiful natural surroundings. Everywhere you go, the mountains are spectacular! The town has a lot to offer: gem mining, antique shops, fine restaurants, outdoor activities, and cultural events. Western Carolina is close by so students could possibly commute to school. I really enjoyed my stay there.

Very cute and scenic town.

Very cute and scenic town. Lots of great stores, restaurants, and shops. I highly recommend the Outdoor 76 outfitters for knowledgeable shoe sales people and resupplies for hiking. I was disappointed that I couldn't try the donuts as they were always sold out when I made it by. The coffee cake shop and the restaurant downtown were both exceptional. I would have loved to explore more before getting back on trail. Lots of events, activities, and accommodations for hikers.

Beautiful area, easily walkable downtown with many local boutique shops and wide choices of dining, from diners to more formal French and Italian style restaurants. Also excellent Thai! Lots to do, beautiful scenery, hiking trails, waterfalls, gem mining, etc.

Franklin is charming and attractive with lots of good food...

Franklin is charming and attractive with lots of good food options. The downtown is wonderful and engaging with a real bookstore and interesting museums. Local drivers are patient and considerate with the out of towers. We found excellent breakfast and lunch at Ms. Lois's Restaurant.

Town has a swimming pool, a group of senior tennis players...

Town has a swimming pool, a group of senior tennis players who play 3 times a week + Saturday. Like going to tennis camp. A music event every weekend and a wonderful Sunday school class at 1st Methodist church.

Motel is older but has a great location being in downtown Franklin. It didn't serve coffee or breakfast but there was a nice restaurant about 1/2 block away that is open early. There is also a bakery almost next door. My room was at the back end of the motel and it was very quiet which was nice. A lot of hikers stay at this hotel so you will see people but few cars. The hotel room was very clean.

No breakfast but that was not the problem. The web site stated the property was a 3 star but was at best was a 1 1/2. The only reason we stayed was we were tired and Franklin didn’t offer much in the way of accommodations. The manager was, however, a nice guy and was really trying to improve the facility.

The front desk staff was so nice. The room was clean and the sheets smelled like laundry detergent! The rocking chairs in front of the rooms is a nice touch. I will choose this hotel next time I am in town.
