Our room had a beautiful view of the river, the beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly and accommodating. My son also enjoyed the game room, pool and hot tub. We were very close to the North Entrance to Yellowstone.

The town was less crowded and parking wasn't an issue.

The town was less crowded and parking wasn't an issue. Dining options were plentiful and the food selections were plentifu and reasonably priced. The Yellowstone River is beautiful to look at and the rushing sounds of the water were very nice to listen to.

i'd been in/near/past other 'towns' that served as entry...

i'd been in/near/past other 'towns' that served as entry points to yellowstone national park - by far, gardiner was the most optimal, closest, easiest especially for entering the park - at the north end, it's basically closest to the "top of the figure 8" (the two loop roads taking you to the park's highlights) - easiest, closest access to the iconic roosevelt arch, lamar valley, soda butte, mammoth hot springs/grand prismatic and the primary (albright?) visitor's center - in addition, gardiner itself is totally walkable, charming, appeared to have good shopping and restaurants (especially for breakfast - can't remember the name of the place now, but there's an adorable breakfast cafe, all the options are named after local pets, terrific!)

Loved the proximity to north entrance of Yellowstone. Liked the other adventures in gardiner like ziplining, white water rafting and loved the hit springs experience. Many attractions of Yellowstone are however closer to West entrance

Gardiner is a great town, right beside north entrance...

Gardiner is a great town, right beside north entrance Yellowstone. Restaurants, coffee shops , and gift shops available . You can walk to Yellowstone Park sign and do photo opportunity. The north entrance is best drive into the park.

A great little town with several really good places to eat.

A great little town with several really good places to eat. The only negative is the road up into the Yellowstone park is NOT a fun drive. It is narrow, steep and twisting with poorly banked curves - much of it 15mph. It is temporary after the flood a few years ago but for now, it’s a stressful way to begin and end the day

We love Gardiner due to the proximity of it to Lamar Valley...

We love Gardiner due to the proximity of it to Lamar Valley and wildlife viewing. It's less busy / touristy than West Yellowstone. Getting around is very easy. Wonderland Cafe & Lodge is one of my favorite restaurants of anywhere. So good that we end up having dinner there each night. The grocery store in town is also pretty good with a nice selection of everything you could think of.

The Manager was outstanding. He was most approachable, and went above and beyond in assisting us during our stay. The accommodation is very quiet and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to any person planning to stay in Gardiner.
