Montana

Montana’s biggest draw is its vast dramatic landscapes – Big Sky Country where jagged peaks, glacial lakes, and endless prairies meet. Known for Glacier National Park, wild rivers, and abundant wildlife, Montana suits families and solo travelers who want active outdoor adventures, peaceful stargazing, and welcoming small towns to explore.

Highlights include Glacier National Park and the Missouri River corridor. Don't miss driving Going-to-the-Sun Road to spot glaciers and wildlife. Stay in Whitefish for scenic lake access, Bozeman for museums and Yellowstone links, and Missoula for family-friendly riverside culture and trails.

Everyone who we interacted with from this hotel was simply amazing! They were helpful, incredibly pleasant and very accommodating. The shuttle is simply the best and all the drivers were very safe and helpful. I was so impressed by everyone at the hotel from housekeeping to front desk to the manager on site was simply wonderful. Thank you for making our trip successful.

Breath taking!
West Yellowstone

Breath taking! Recommend staying in Gardener for a real Montana experience with the locals. Access to the North entrance is pretty close. Entrance in the morning can take some time getting to West Yellowstone. Be patient and prepared to stop unexpectedly for others taking photos. There is so much to see, can’t go wrong with any on the park. Hikes into the woods - take bear spray. Pack beverages and snacks. and be ready for things to start closing at 5pm, last stores in the park close at 8pm.

Bozeman

We only stopped overnight on our way to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and southeastern Wyoming & Nebraska to visit family. We also decided to stop in Bozeman on the way back as well. Both stays were short, only dinner and the overnight stay, but we liked Bozeman. Nice area and had alot of choices of really good restaurants and very nice hotels! Would definitely stop at Bozeman again!

Kalispell

Beautiful area. Moose’s Saloon is a must try. It was so good. Side note: you have to go to a window to order and get your own drinks at the bar. Flathead lake is close by and even in the winter it was beautiful to see. Murdoch’s is a great store. Definitely go check it out. I am from Canada so a “good” coffee was hard to come by. It’s so strong here and no one knows what a double double is. I wish our stay was longer so we could have explored more!

Billings

Billings is nice but we were mainly traveling, went from Billings to Miles City, to Glendive, to Wibaux, back to Miles City, and last night in Billings anticipating our flight. North east MT was very nice, love the luscious greens, farms, and wild life! Places we visited that I recommend, Miles City Hotel and Suites, Pioneer Park, Wibaux Park, Terry Park, and Black Iron Grill and Rotisserie, Ribs and Chops restaurant.

Whitefish

Whitefish has a vibrant downtown and is close to lake activities and ski resorts. The downtown is mostly bars, restaurants, and tourist gift shops. We were only in Whitefish for about a day, and as non-drinkers, we didn't find a lot to do in town. It seems like a great, fun spot for bachelor/bachelorette parties, but we had seen enough of downtown after a couple of hours. That said, Whitefish is a great hub for outdoor activities, which is why we visited Montana in the first place. It's about 45 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park, and about 20 minutes north of the airport. It made for a nice way to unwind at the end of a busy trip to Glacier that was close to the airport.

East Glacier Park

Excellent way to avoid the traffic coming into the park from the west entrance and you are going the opposite direction of that traffic. Also, access to other parts of the park on the east side and if you have your passport, you can go to the very northern part of the park in Canada.
