We stopped at the swinging bridge and the Kootenai falls.

We stopped at the swinging bridge and the Kootenai falls. EVERYONE SHOULD STOP THERE IF THEY GET THE OPPORTUNITY. Also, dinner was delicious at the Switchback Bar and Grill. We had cheese curds to die for with house made marinara, and the Switchback Dip. Breakfast at the Antler restaurant started our day right before we trekked over the hill, past the Libby Dam at the end of Lake Kookanusa and on to eureka. Should be in everyone’s bucket list. Such pretty and rugged country.

No locks on the door and barely any window coverings!

No locks on the door and barely any window coverings! Also there were only two plug ins in the entire place. There's an obvious yellow jacket problem and mice have built a nest in the hide a bed! I have pictures to prove it! The owners are not from the area and talked about how much they hate it there and it shows! I asked for a refund of the two out of three days I had reserved and only received half (should have been two thirds). A very dissatisfied and traumatic experience for my family and I and I will never return although I have family in the area. Don't stay here!

Troy is a beautiful little town.

Troy is a beautiful little town. It's small, but has pretty much everything you need. Anything else can be gotten in Libby, which is about 20 minutes away. Not a lot of places to eat out, which is understandable, but there are several places within a half hour if you want something besides what's in Troy. Troy has a very nice public park with great playground equipment and even a splash pad. It has a boat ramp there if you bring your own boat, and there's a nice paved walking trail around the park. The people there are friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, it's perfect. We drove to Ross Cedars one day (highly recommend) and also to the swinging bridge and the falls (highly recommend). Some of us also drove to Glacier National Park one day and that was a nice drive also and easy to do in a day.

Libby is a great town.

Libby is a great town. Motel prices are tremendously over priced. It appears that all hotels are owned by probably two or three people/businesses, and monopoly prices are ridiculous. No bargains. Lots of vacancies, still sky-high prices.

The Lodge was very Cozy and I liked the 24 house access to the Breakfast Area and Fresh Baked Cookies. I wasn't crazy about having my Room checked for Damage. Never in over 40 Years of Business & Pleasure Travel has this ever happen! A little mistrusting. I guess they've had problems with transient guests in the past? It was convenient to Restaurants and Town. Picturesque Mountain Location...
