The property was in a great location, clean and very roomy for our family of 4. Although we didn’t use the kitchen for nothing other than making coffee, it seemed to be well stocked. My young boys appreciated being able to watch Disney Plus and Netflix. Pool was closed and never went to the rec room.

Great room. Warm pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the lobby was damaged from recent ice storm so one restaurant was closed. Great location from Timberline so we could conveniently get up to ski bright and early.

The location was perfect as our family lives about a 1/2 mile away. The accommodations are wonderful with everything needed for cooking. The manager provided a space heater as the heater in the room was not working. Also she upgraded us to the apartment with a kitchen. Which was great as we were celebrating our first anniversary and visiting family.

Loved the trees and fire pit area! The inside was decorated very cute and I loved that there were little things onsite for us to use. Shampoo, soap, coffee, clean towels. Adorable studio. Felt private and fun being a walk to government camp.

Great walks.

Great walks. Get forestry permit for parking at trailheads & map ($15) from museum, $30 for one year & includes trillium lake which is $12 if no permit. Glacier House best for home cooked food. Park up early at popular trailheads at weekends.

This is a lovely area of forest surrounding Mt.

This is a lovely area of forest surrounding Mt. Hood, which is worth seeing and visiting, as well as the Timberline Lodge. However, the main attraction is outdoor sports and breakfast at the Huckleberry Inn. If that isn't your thing, I'm not sure you'll enjoy it there. The drive from this area north to the Columbia River and Hood River the town is fun and worth it.

Government camp is a village.

Government camp is a village. In the summer it gives access to the camps etc in the Mt hood National forest. The area around the hotel is totally uninteresting, requiring driving away from the hotel for a walk in the woods, etc. Few restaurants, one high priced grocery/ liquor store in govt Camp.

Government Camp was a cute little town, comfortable to walk...

Government Camp was a cute little town, comfortable to walk around, plenty of places to eat out, grab a drink, (or an ice cream) along with a small grocery store in case you need a last minute item. It is also close to great hiking, (which is why I was there). An enjoyable place to stay for a short while.

Location and hiking were great.

Location and hiking were great. Room was fine for the price. We stayed in the bunkhouse room in a bunkbed. $175 plus tax on a weeknight - which I would recommend a weeknight as the lodge isn't as crowded as on the weekend. More than 1 restaurant would be nice.. Not everyone wants to spend $48 for 1 - and not everyone wants fancy - like prime rib with bean paste . The cheeseburger we had at the bar was awesome- but is not a part of that menu which was very limited. Our bartender made that happen for us. I want to go back when the pool is fixed. It looks amazing!
