Gold Miners Inn is on its game. Incredibly well staffed, from the front desk to the breakfast buffet, they have people on hand to take care of your needs. Free drink tickets for the bar was an unexpected treat, as was the walkability to a host of shops, restaurants, bars and a movie theater. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

First time in Grass Valley for a comedy show at the Center. We were happily surprised to find this charming hotel right near the downtown. Very clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding us an excellent restaurant, Cirino’s, for dinner.

As someone who has lived in the City for most of my life, Grass Valley was a breath of fresh air. The entire locale was so beautiful and peaceful. For the most part everyone was friendly and courteous, things are a bit pricey there and their drivers were a bit more aggressive than I expected, but overall, a place that I will return to again.

Very quaint with lots of great shops.

Very quaint with lots of great shops. We went to the Owl for lunch, very good food, large portions. Visited Empire Mine for a tour for $5. Very informative. There's a mansion tour as well but we didn't have enough time. We went in the third week of November and they just decorated for Christmas. It gets very congested during December with visitors. It's so cute... and cold. I'm told they have a Cornwall Cornish Christmas celebration. There's a couple of stores that sell the Cornish patsy food item. There's a large number of the Cornish people in the area due to them working in the mines. A couple miles from downtown we went the the Lumberjack for dinner. My husband said it was the best burger he's every had (Western cheeseburger). We look forward to coming to visit again.

Aside from finding available parking there's nothing to dislike about Grass Valley. Clean parks within the city and amazing hiking trails just outside of the city. Very nice coffee and restaurant scene on and around Mill Street.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel is clean and charming, the breakfast is good, the evening reception is very nice. I'd like to see a little more fresh fruit at the breakfast and maybe some nicer snacks at the evening reception.

Loved the people.

Loved the people. Many were volunteer docents in the Empire and Northstar mines and museums. Loved the food at the Holbrooke restaurant. Menu limited but food was gourmet. $$ affordable. Historical district quaint .Hiking and outdoor activities along many historical sites like the Malakoff diggings. Close to the sierra nevada foot hill towns

The room was updated, the perfect mix between updated and classic historical. Absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen area surpassed expectations. At one point I had forgotten the code to our room, and the owner was super patient and kind. We can’t wait to go back! It’s a super short distance to downtown Grass Valley, and the updated shops and gluten free bakery were a big plus! Great location.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful town, we stopped in grass valley instead of crowded Lake Tahoe and are so happy that we did. Lovely clean room and other facilities, great staff! In a picturesque town not to be missed! We were sad to leave this lovely town!
