This cozy dwelling is centrally located at the base of the Sierra foothills. The cottage sits on a secluded hilltop on 14 acres that is shared with the landowners in case you need anything. It is private, peaceful, formally a family farm & has herb filled garden beds & gorgeous tree lined sunset views. It is equipped with all you’ll need to make your stay comfortable. Please note that access to the upstairs bedroom is via a narrow, alternating-tread staircase, professionally installed by a licensed contractor. We want all our guests to feel completely comfortable. If you have any mobility concerns or simply prefer to avoid stairs, we have a downstairs futon available for you, complete with plenty of extra bedding. With advance notice, we are available on-site to help fold down the futon and prepare the bedding. Whether you are an international athlete arriving for our famous local endurance races, or a local looking for a peaceful getaway, this countryside retreat offers the perfect balance of rest and recreation. At Blissful Acres, we’re a multi-generational family of four who lovingly care for this land. During your stay, you may see us tending the gardens, working on irrigation, or taking care of seasonal chores like burn piles and weed whacking to keep the property firesafe and healthy. This place has been a true labor of love, evolving through many transformations since we first arrived. We’re delighted to share our cozy cottage with guests who want to escape the noise, slow down, and enjoy the peace of the countryside, surrounded by wildlife and open skies.

We are centrally located between Auburn and Grass Valley/Nevada City, located just 5 minutes off hwy 49, which makes us the perfect home away from home to explore all that Placer and Nevada County have to offer. A short 5 minute drive from the cool and refreshing Bear River, 35 minutes to the majestic, Yuba River, as well as many hiking trails within a short drive. We are 25 minutes from both Auburn and Nevada Fairground. We also have a grocery store, CVS, gas station, hardware store, frozen yogurt, coffee shops and more just 5 minutes away for all those items you may have forgotten at home.
