The electricity went out in the middle of our meal so that was weird..but unavoidable. Our server was a bit moody but she did fine. Food was good...but try to avoid giving cold, hard butter when serving pancakes..or at lesst warm the syrup!

It's a comfort hotel, near to Blue Run trail (by foot), a very beautiful place to hike. Near to Cristal River too (25min by car). Great breakfast and coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day in the front desk. We could leave the luggage in the front desk after the checkout. We forget 1 suitcase and they gonna keep it until we can pickup. It was so good. KFC, Taco Bell and dukin donuts very close and gas station too, in a beautiful neighborhood. Free parking.

My friend and I took a short vacation to the area and it was marvelous. The horses were so beautiful and majestic to look at and pet(if they were up for it). The house is spacious and homey. We enjoyed lounging in the living area on the couch and enjoying the patio as well. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We ordered the breakfast one of the days and it was very good!! Highly recommend.

This was a very private and nice place to stay.

This was a very private and nice place to stay. The house was very clean and roomy. We loved the lake view and did some kayaking and fishing. We were able to visit with family and also went to Orlando with our daughter and granddaughter to swim with the dolphins at discovery cove. it was about 1 1/2-hour drive, but it was worth it as we were able to go back to the house to relax after. We would definitely stay here again.

Hernando itself is more of a housing community than a town.

Hernando itself is more of a housing community than a town. However, it is close enough to Crystal River, Homosassa, Weeki Wachee and Ocala. Good location for visiting the Nature Coast, seeing the manatees or scalloping. Horse Country in Ocala is about 45 minutes away. The Apopka Lake Chain is nice, Rainbow River is not far and the Withlacoochee is interesting. All would be great for kayaking. A bit far to Tampa or Orlando and too expensive for a long drive there. Other than that Hernando, along with Inverness and Lecanto, is a rather quiet community where one takes it easy and goes to bed early. Public transportation is almost non-existent, therefore you best travel by car. Biking is good in some parts of Hernando and surrounding areas,, but be prepared to ride for long distances. In the winter months there are some nice markets in the area.
