My son loved being served breakfast. The host was super good with him. Beds were comfortable. I could only imagine if we would have been vacationing during summer months. The fire pit, outside seating, and the view of the lakes through the wilderness would have been the most surreal stay.

Very clean and the room was big. Location was perfect and there was a huge supermarket 5 mins walk away and many restaurants near by. Views from the garden and fire pit were great too

Holderness is the home of the movie On Golden Pond.

Holderness is the home of the movie On Golden Pond. It is a beautiful area on Squam and Little Squam Lakes. You can get to many of the area attractions from this location and be off the beaten path avoiding some of the summertime traffic. We kayaked on the lakes - it was beautiful. We ate dinner at the Common Man - the meal was delicious and the staff lovely. We stayed at the Yankee Trail Motel which was delightful! Great location for a vacation!

Love Holderness.

Love Holderness. The town is much bigger than you would expect. We would have spent more time at the motel enjoying the beach and Kayaks, dock etc. but It raIned the two days and three nights we were there, so we spent much of our time in Meredith and Moultonborouh. We stayed at the motel before and loved access to the lake, Kayaks, swimming etc. this time our stay was after Labor Day and the facility was not well staffed. Would we stay there again? ... probably but we would sure talk to the motel talk with the owner and not book on line.

I was told my service 🐕‍🦺 was welcome but when I got there they wanted to make me put my dog in the room at 95 degrees the rooms are out dated and the pictures are not real they play with you do not patronize

We only stayed there because it was convenient to the event...

We only stayed there because it was convenient to the event we were attending, otherwise I would never stay there. If you want to disconnect for the rest of the world Holderness is the place to go, No cell service. Watch out for the speed traps.

This is a very comfortable place to stay. This family run Inn has a realness to it that is sometimes missing from our trips. The layout of the common areas and relaxing porch are great--- and the breakfast was delicious. A special place to be sure.

Location. Price. Excellent breakfast. Full menu to choose hot home cooked meal. Plus extras such as fruit, yogurt sweet bread and 3 choices of juice. Coffee was the best. Internet was great.
