Enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. Place was clean, people were great. Very helpful. Breakfast was easy and tasteful!! So fresh!! The best was being able to preregister with my Hilton app. Having the key on my phone and being able to checkout via my phone! Absolutely loved it!! Great idea Hilton!! We will definitely be back and be staying at other Hilton hotels!!!

Interesting that the town (borough) is two distinctly different places adjacent to each other; separated by a river - Historic Jim Thorpe is the quaint and hilly tourist area along the Lehigh River. Most of the shops and small businesses and railroad are in the valley along or near the river. The houses in this area are charming and adjacent - almost brick-to-brick - to each other and run up the steep hills from the business district. The weekend in this area is bustling with people of all different nationalities. Weekday (mornings) are more casual in this part. We found on-street parking here 40 minutes/$1. The other part of Jim Thorpe (over the bridge) is a typical small Pennsylvania town with beautiful and broad views of the Pocono Mountains; perfect for an early evening or Sunday drive - with a decent number of places to stop for breakfast, dinner, a slice of pizza, or scoop if ice cream.

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the town and had a good mix of local dining and finer dining for NYE. We rode the train and found it to be relaxing. We did not have time to take the Trolley Tour of Jim Thorpe, and if we have occasion to return we will. I would recommend doing that. The architecture of the town is lovely. My husband and I remarked to each other what a relaxing getaway it was.

Wonderful town with so much history!

Wonderful town with so much history! Parking was over the top for sure compared to many places we have visited. But far worth every penny when you consider how beautiful this town is. So much to see and do too. Must go back to see it all.

This was my first time going to Jim Thorpe!

This was my first time going to Jim Thorpe! I’ve always heard so much about it and I’m glad I finally got to go. We went on the train to see all the beautiful different colors of leaves. I have to save my favorite part. Was a trolley person that did that. I can’t remember his name. He was so knowledgeable about Jim Thorpe and he told us all about Jim Thorpe while we’re on that trolley. I really really enjoyed that.! I also enjoyed all the vendors, especially with the pastries. Oh my. So goood! Also left all of the shops and restaurants!

It's an older building. They keep it clean and they seem to be updating the rooms little by little. The hotel is close to our friend's house. Which makes visiting them great.
