I had come to Maine as a child due to extended family living there and had been to quiet Kennebunkport. However, it's no longer quiet, it is filled with tourists, but it really is a nice, historic location that has the right feel of "Downeast Maine."

The town was walkable, with many sights of harbors, beaches nearby, points of interest as well. We were there just as many places were getting ready to close, but were treated like it was opening day.

The town is compact with tons of food and shopping.
The town is compact with tons of food and shopping. Easily walkable but there are quiet roads surrounding so you can bike to the beach in under 10 minutes. The crowds (even in high color season) were a mix of young and old. There are tourist buses with the older folks but they park in a lot so it wasn't too bad.

A lovely little town with shopping, great choices of restaurants with very tasty seafood. Can get extremely congested in high season so a September visit was wonderful. Parking can be a little difficult since the paid parking lots and streets fill up early. We'd recommend doing a lobster boat tour to learn about these yummy sea creatures.

Very small town with shopping and dining experiences. Nice to visit for the day but I wouldn't probably stay at town again unless there was a specific reason for this location. Ongunquit was much more lively and inviting.

Love Kennebunkport. Such a beautiful place to visit. The people were so friendly everywhere we went. The air was clean, the beaches were fabulous and the drivers were very polite. I will recommend to everyone I know.

We really enjoyed the uniqueness and the historical associations of the inn. It is lovely to stay somewhere memorable rather than a bland hotel, where one could be anywhere. Being able to read our books by the fire, with a glass of wine, is a distinct memory! The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed being served in the charming kitchen, and having a wide-ranging conversation with fellow guests. We felt very welcome and would happily return again.

Superb and homely Inn halfway between Kennebunkport town centre and the sea - and an easy walk from both. Mike, the Innkeeper, is a superb host: helpful, kind, informative. And of course, as everyone mentions, the muffins and other home baked goods are a real treat, thanks to Mike's mom.

We loved the room with the fireplace, historic touches of the property, and the delicious breakfast. The location was fantastic and very walkable to the middle of town. The hotel was wonderful and we will definitely be back!
