This was amazing! We wanted a place to go and relax and this was perfect. The movie theater building was so fun. We loved watching the sun rise from the hot tub. Plenty of seating options on the wrap around porch. The running sounds from the beautiful koi pond were so peaceful. Wood was provided for and inside or outside fire. The owners were awesome, answered questions really quick. Can’t wait to go back.

What Guests Said About Lake Lure:

Lake Lure is such a charming community.

Lake Lure is such a charming community. It was awesome to see the water back in the lake after the devastation this area experienced from Hurricane Helene. We stayed at Grafton Lodge and hiked near Chimney Rock. The town is coming back to life with several new shops and restaurants popping up. Go visit and support this beautiful area!

We Spent the last couple of days of our Honeymoon at the Inn. We enjoyed very much our experience at the Inn and have NO Regrets for that decision. Despite the Historic flood that devastated the area, it was in a state of recovery that still allowed us to do all of the things that we'd intended to do with our time and stay at the Inn. While taking in the history and enjoying the space for its era related decor, was like being in a time capsule!

It is one year out from the devastating flooding of Hurricane Helene. At this time the city is still rebuilding. The lake is not open but the state park is. We chose to come to support the local economy. We had a wonderful time hiking (it's a difficult hike but beautiful views) and eating at the open restaurants. There isn't a lot to do beyond that right now because of the recovery efforts but we look forward to returning in future years and enjoying the lake activities.

Wonderful accommodations, excellent restaurants, shopping and antiques nearby. While they are still recovering from Hurricane Helene, there is so much to experience. Chimney Rock State Park is open, there are e tents scheduled, like Carolina Celtic in late August. Strongly encourage folks to stay in Lake Lure and help the local economy rebound!

We enjoyed the area very much!

We enjoyed the area very much! We probably spent more time in Chimney Rock as we climbed and hiked in the state park. We didn't go to the beach at Lake Lure but it looked nice. The mountains are beautiful and they reminded us of the Adirondacks in upstate NY where we used to live. It was fun here and we would like to go back in the fall to see the the fall foliage!

The area is really nice.

The area is really nice. The hotel stay was very nice, as was their pool and Tiki Bar. However, that's where it ends. Lake Lure (as well as Chimney Rock) has no where to eat breakfast, as everything seems to open at 11 or after. The swimming area of Lake Lure closes too early (5:30 - we arrive at 5:47) and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. So we basically drove 3 hours to swim at the hotel, not eat breakfast and leave. We ended up driving to Lake James and swimming there for free (Lake Lure charges to use their beach).

Great hotel, located about 1/2 mile from Lake Lure swimming area. Great swimming pool and a Tiki Bar right beside. The bar was great and served a great cheeseburger, though I found it a bit expensive at $18 (w/fries). The hotel looks older from the outside, but our room was nicely updated, clean and beds were comfortable.
