The Inn Keeper's Rich and Kim both went to Paul Smiths college in upstate New York. Rich went for a Culinary degree and Kim went for Hotel and Restaurant Management. The property was purchased in 2015 and upgrades the breakfast room and the guest room's happen periodically, There is a Breakfast room and many outdoor areas for the guest to enjoy. The owners have worked in many areas of the Hotel and Restaurant industry through out their life's. They have settled in Lake Lure to finally enjoy this chapter in life. They very much look forward in having you as their guest and assisting you in your traveling needs.

The lodge is situated in the quiet town of Lake Lure, NC. The heart of Lake Lure is 500 yards away. The property is nestled on the mountainside on a quiet country road. Our property has many outdoor spaces to read, enjoy a beverage or experience a nice fire in the fireplace on the covered deck. We offer rates with breakfast and without breakfast. Our road is great for walking. It is a 7 minute walk down to the beach area and restaurants. The Grafton Lodge is 2 miles from Chimney Rock Town with quaint stores and more restaurants. The entrance to Chimney Rock State Park is in the middle of the town. There are plenty of outdoor actives such as hiking trails, zip lining, kayak, paddle boards or a guided boat tour of Lake Lure. There are small parks for easy lake viewing and fishing. The Grafton Lodge is also nearby to the Candy Cabin, Lake Lure Escape rooms and Axe throwing. There are vineyards, craft beer breweries and antiquing all within a 20 minute drive. Other towns close by to explore are, Saluda, Tryon, Forest City and Hendersonville. We are 40 minute away from Ashville,NC. We are in the middle of it all. If you need some outdoor therapy to relax and rejuvenate then the Grafton Lodge is your perfect space.

We are near the Blue Ridge Parkway which is a beautiful scenic road for vehicles. Also there are many hiking trails ranging from an easy and medium all the way up to hard trails. Many trails have waterfalls. The area also has Bouldering and Rock Climbing. Many Craft Breweries and Vineyards that are winning National awards are in the area. There are great restaurants ranging from low key local fare to gourmet. There is plenty for you to experience in the area to help make your trip a time to remember. Come have the time of your life!
