We stayed 3 nights for our daughter’s graduation from Pepperdine. The property is only a couple of miles from campus, so was located perfectly for our family. The Ranch House is located in a quiet, woodsy area which felt wonderfully private, yet close to everything we needed. Two bedrooms, great shower, plenty of towels and almost all of the ‘extras’ that you might have forgotten to pack. We used the hot tub twice, and it was clean and heated to the perfect temperature. Would definitely stay again!

The place was dark andc access was prevented by locked gate when we arrived at 4:30 pm. The ring cam was dead and the lockbox did not respond to our so-called pin number. Phone calls to the number provided went directly to voicemail which belonged to someone named Betsy, and said leave a message but we couldn't because the message box was full. Obviously we ended up having to search for other accommodations and were extremely distressed by this experience in an area which was unfamiliar to both myself and my adult son who was with me.

I liked Californian weather, mountains, blooming trees and flowers. I disliked misleading reality: in the picture on the property’s website the ocean looked much closer than it was in fact. I was dreading from the greedy ants that ruined my vacation, unresponsive management that didn’t care about my needs. Only Bess, who worked there,helped me with shopping. The shop is very far from the property if you don’t drive. There is a bus #134 that runs every hour or so. Many times; I called to the office, but nobody answered a phone. I asked Bess for a cleaner, but they never sent one, or the cleaner never appeared at the door. Finally,Californian roaches came to visit me,but they didn’t bite at least. I feel frustrated and request full refund for my ruined vacation

The State Parks were beautiful.

The State Parks were beautiful. Topanga Canyon Road was closed and could not see this area. Traffic was horrendous at time; in addition to the busy traffic, there were working on several segments of the road, and had very long one-lane car lines…

We had a terrific stay at the Surfrider!

We had a terrific stay at the Surfrider! We loved everything about it. Staff was awesome. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very beachy vibes, which we loved! The rooftop deck has great drinks and the food is off the charts. We will definitely be returning soon!
