Marshall has a great downtown area with lots of shops,...

Marshall has a great downtown area with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Great ambiance with all the lights walking downtown at night. We felt safe, and just enjoyed the view. Marshall has some awesome buildings and the downtown is well kept with planters, no empty buildings, and wonderful architecture. The town is clean and maintained. Looks like the community takes pride in their little town. I would go back if I had time and look at all the houses and buildings.

Win Schulers restaurant in Marshall has been voted the best restaurant in Michigan 26 years in a row! The food is outstanding, although the prices are not cheap. I got a shave and a haircut at Palmer's Barber Shop in downtown Marshall for only $26. The cost of the same thing in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where I live, is $80!! I went to Firekeeper's Casino several times and made enough money playing blackjack to cover the cost of my trip.

So QUIET 🤫. . Stayed in more expensive hotels and the were noisy! Slamming doors, being loud/ rude . Housekeeping was great! Straightened up our room and refreshed our towels while we were out. So pleasant to come back to after a 13 hour day.
