United StatesCleanliness, staff I especially enjoyed the lady at the front desk she was absolutely fun to talk with made me feel very welcomed and she explained everything I asked about the facility directed to the elevators told where the dining area was also explained about breakfast and parking and was on the 4th floor it was very quiet just what I needed for a over night get away I treated myself it was my birthday gift to me .all in all, I would stay here again and will also tell my family and friends to come stay here to

Mechanicsburg, PA is a great town on just west of Harrisburg in tghe heart of the Cumberland Valley. Beautiful drives from all directions, lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. We go there to visit family and always have a great time in the area whenever we're in town.

The first room he gave us was already occupied.
The first room he gave us was already occupied. The man started yelling when we tried to get the door open.
The second room didn't have working plumbing . The pipes in the tub were loose and not hooked up.
Then when we sat down on the bed we noticed a bug
We went back to the office and said we were leaving and wanted our money back. He said he'd refund us on the credit card. He NEVER did.
Dirty, needed maintenance and incompetent Manager.
Avoid at all costs.

Mechanicsburg is a historic working-class community only a few miles from the state capital, Harrisburg. It has a world-class community park for activities, picnics, or just relaxing. There is a full range of restaurants and amenities. The town is surrounded by farm country to the south, including Pennsylvania's famous orchards in Adams and Franklin counties. The Civil War's turning point, Gettysburg, is less than half an hour to the south. There are numerous nearby small colleges--Dickinson, Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, and Bucknell. The Hershey Medical Center and its many specialized care programs is 15 miles away. Hershey Chocolate and its Amusement Park and Chocolate World attract millions of visitors annually. All in all, a vibrant area yet one that affords outdoor exploration and the best of mid-Atlantic agriculture, especially fruit production in the late summer and fall. This is my hometown, and although my family is mostly gone, I am still attracted to the place...and not just for its memories.

The rooms need total renovation.
The rooms need total renovation. Mattresses were old and very uncomfortable, bathroom tub had mold under caulking and under knob on shower, didn’t use. Too much deodorize to mask old stuffy smell. First rm air conditioner didn’t work so we were move to another room. The night manager was accommodating. We usually stay at holiday day express but after this experience I think the Hampton is are choice.

We actually are before checking in …remembering past visit, you’re too early. And as I noted then I really didn’t thing 45 mins early would be an issue.
However we waited and checked in after 3:00. There were no issues.

We loved the room!
We loved the room! it was very large, we had a beautiful kitchen , dining area with a sofa bed, separate bedroom and beautiful bathroom . we were very happy with the size of the room and the staff was very friendly. every time I needed something they came right away to give it to us . the breakfast was great too

The most disappointing feature was the breakfasts, especially the hot portions of the meal like the eggs and meat. They tasted artificial every morning, and did not have a satisfying taste at all. We eventually chose to eat elsewhere, even though breakfast came with the room. This will be the main reason we would not return to this hotel in our future trips to the area.

The hotel was well maintained and had everything we needed. It was a perfect location. The gentleman working the breakfast area was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast itself was excellent, better than hotels in higher price ranges.

The staff was very friendly especially the front desk young man! We had a bit of an issue that was no fault of the hotel but the young man helped us out right away and made sure we felt comfortable right away!
