Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful and surreal...
Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful and surreal places I have ever visited. I could not get enough of the views. I booked a back country tour with Navajo Tribal Tours and our guide, Larry, was extremely knowledgeable and easily educated everyone on the tour about the Valley. The next day, I drove through the Valley in my own vehicle and experienced even more beauty. My eyes could not take it all in. My spirit connected to the nature and history of the land. Highly recommended.

They changed the policy you can't drive the loop after 3:00...
They changed the policy you can't drive the loop after 3:00 pm for sunset and must take a guided tour . We took a tour $80 person back of a bumpy truck. Seemed rushed and next time would drive ourselves. We did drive 41 miles north to Valley of the Gods outside of Mexican Hat. Outstanding!! Free, very few people and I thing better than the commercialized. Monument Valley

fantastic road trip - from the Utah side to the Arizona side of the Monument - just fantastic! Took the Monument Valley road tour - luckily I had the perfect SUV for it - dirty, jumbly, fun and great to get close to the monuments!

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. The sunset tour by Monument Valley tribal tours waa excellent. Our guide Sandria is very knowledgeable and knows the history of the place. She made the tour memorable and accommodating. She helped me find great spots to take photos rather than let us take touristy photos along with the crowds. Our own 17 mike drive was underwhelming and she made it memorable.

If you love the beauty of the desert, respect and admire...
If you love the beauty of the desert, respect and admire Navajo culture, and want to be surrounded by iconic visions of the Southwest, Monument Valley is a bucket list trip for sure. I would go back with family, perhaps booking a horseback trip in the park next time.

We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort.
We arrived late afternoon and looked around Gould's Resort. The museum was interesting and food was quite good other than the country western music, which is not our style. We took the Sunrise Tour through Gould's Resort and it was excellent. The formations in Monument Valley are fabulous. The movie and Navajo history are also very interesting.

Omg this place was amazing!! I think it is new and has recently been upgraded from a tipi to a mud hut as everything felt brand new. They have done the decor so amazing. The bed is so comfy and it gets nice and warm in there too! I was fearful of being cold as it was November, but no it was perfect. The location is unreal - the views of monument valley. Our friends booked the mud hut next door too which was perfect. We bought BBQ items from the supermarket nearby and lit a fire too and made smores under the starlight! It was stunning :)

Beautiful location near to the monument valley visitors entrance. Two bed lodges with verandas looking out to the monuments.
