We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

This is an incredibly well-equipped house with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The location is quiet. We saw deer and wild turkeys daily. The property is within driving distance of the most interesting sights in southeast Utah. We visited Monument Valley, Bears Ears National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, Newspaper Rock, and Gooseneck State Park.

There are lots of things to do and see in the Bluff area. Don't miss the Sand Island petroglyphs! Bluff is also close by to Blanding and its excellent museum collection of Anasazi artifacts (state park), and not too far from Hovenweep ruins (don't miss this if you have the time).

Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful and surreal places I have ever visited. I could not get enough of the views. I booked a back country tour with Navajo Tribal Tours and our guide, Larry, was extremely knowledgeable and easily educated everyone on the tour about the Valley. The next day, I drove through the Valley in my own vehicle and experienced even more beauty. My eyes could not take it all in. My spirit connected to the nature and history of the land. Highly recommended.

This is a small town at the doorstep to the road leading into Monument Valley. With only about 3 places to stay, there seems to be a premium put on rates, at least during summer travel season. All appear to be high-priced.

They changed the policy you can't drive the loop after 3:00 pm for sunset and must take a guided tour . We took a tour $80 person back of a bumpy truck. Seemed rushed and next time would drive ourselves. We did drive 41 miles north to Valley of the Gods outside of Mexican Hat. Outstanding!! Free, very few people and I thing better than the commercialized. Monument Valley

Lucky we only stayed one night in this hotel; next time we go there we will not sleep there for sure. So for the price it's crazy that there is no wifi, no refrigerator, no breakfast. This hotel is good only for emergencies.

Desert Rose has the best and ONLY decent restaurant in the 'one-horse' town of Bluff. It was closed on the Saturday and Sunday of our visit - and, indeed, EVERY Saturday and Sunday!!!!!!! Avoid this 'town' if you can.

There is limited number of local restaurants.

There is limited number of local restaurants. The most popular was an hour wait to get a table let alone a meal. We ended up at the Blue Coffee Pot which had a very local feel to it. Huge portions and decent food and decent service. Restaurants close early here. My suggestion is to eat early!
