Check in was super easy, the room was spacious and equipped with latest gadgets. We were so impressed how thoughtful the room was decorated. We also realised the next day waking up that we had the best view of Mt Shasta from our bed!!! Incredible 🥰

Mount Shasta City is quite an interesting town, full of charm and character. Plenty of shopping and dining in town if that suits you. Some very good restaurants so I've been told. My husband and I go there to get up on Mount Shasta itself. The big, beautiful, soulful volcanic mountain that sits in the towns back yard. We see it every day from where we live, but there is nothing like driving up as far as you care to go and have an adventure, be it camping, hiking, stargazing, meditating, summiting the peak. We have yet to camp there or summit the peak (not some random thing you just decide to do, takes a lot of prep for that), but all of the time we spend on Mount Shastas flanks is revitalizing to our spirits/hearts. Also, down in the city park, at the north end of town are the headwaters of the Sacramento River. Super pure drinkable water and also a sacred place to the indigenous peoples of the area. You are literally drinking ancient glacial water. We were there just before the Fourth of July, this time, so pretty busy down in town. It's a fun/spiritual place to soak in.

Mt Shasta is beautiful for its hikes, clear skies and delicious water. It is a small and cozy little town. The people are friendly. There are nice hikes from easy to challenging so perfect for getting out and enjoying the outdoors or just find a quiet place to relax and read a book. Getting around town is walkable. Places to eat: Lunch at Yak/Drizzle, Dinner at Pipline, Breakfast at Theory (good coffee). Favorite place - walk around the Lake or super easy fast walk around the local park at the end of town.

We had zero expectations of the town of Mount Shasta and were completely charmed! The food was great, the vibe was friendly with so much pride for the beautiful area. We walked all over, chatted with a lot of locals, and were sorry to be leaving so soon. Mount Shasta the actual mountain is spectacular. You can see it in photos, but it's nothing like staring up at its massive splendor. And then you learn the lore of the place, and it just makes it better.

The mountain was so big and bright with lots of snow still on top. A few doors away is a good Mexican lunch dinner place Casa Ramos. If you drive 10 minutes to Weed. I highly recommend Ellie's Espresso and Bakery on the left side the BEST breakfast burrito 12.45 and pastry. I like supporting this small place in a small town of Weed, CA. Have fun life's to short.

So many waterfalls, lake (with boat rental), resort (with massages), caves and hikes in the area. The town of Mt. Shasta also has some great restaurants, some of which have nice outdoor seating. We found a crystal singing bowl shop that had daily sound baths that made a great addition.

Cozy Little Mountain town.

Cozy Little Mountain town. I went for a ski ascent of Mt Shasta in June and the terrain is great. the Mountain is beautiful. Swam in the clear water pool at the base of a huge waterfall (Middle falls on McCloud River). Lots to do in the area. Definitely worth a visit.

A quaint motel style stay in the lovely town of Mount Shasta. I loved it here as it has character. Nice room, comfy bed, all clean and fresh, breakfast is made to order as you go to the dining room rather than help yourself. We were offered waffles and fruit which was really nice. There is a communal patio area front and back of the hotel. Perfect for star gazing after a long day. We ate at the Mexican restaurant right next door, handy and enjoyable

The view of Mount Shasta from the porch is stunning. The owners are friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We stayed in the carriage house and had the whole place to ourselves, so we didn't have to share a bathroom with any other guests. Parking was easy and straight forward and the wifi was really useful to have and worked very well.
