United StatesAbsolutely exceeded our expectations. We just kept saying how happy we were staying there. Our time spent was 4 nights of complete comfort. The lobby had such a warm and cozy feeling, like home. The front desk staff were all kind and engaging... actually, very nice and funny, they could not have been more accommodating. The room was large and very well appointed. The wet bar was a Bonus, and gave lots of extra space for our needs. The bathroom was also large, we were never cramped when trying to use the sink and counter at the same time. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful area!
Beautiful area! Murphy is a lovely little town, with lots of hidden gems of restaurants, shops, and other stopping areas. We ate in an absolutely delicious Italian restaurant that we highly recommend. The casino was an added bonus, supplying us with some fun recreation.

I was only there for one night and the room was fine.
I was only there for one night and the room was fine. The breakfast was okay. They had other amenities that I did not get a chance to experience that other travelers might love. The location was excellent. The surroundings were very beautiful. So I would say, give it a try. The price I found was excellent.

Most people come to Murphy for the gambling.
Most people come to Murphy for the gambling. However this is an outdoor lovers dream. Fishing and hiking abound. If you are a motorcyclist, this is a good hub for many routes in the area. Tail of the Dragon is a beautiful 1 hour ride away, and many more in the area. Murphy is a good home base for many activities in the area.

I didn't get to see much my brother is I'll and came up to see him before he passes I will be back next month or before what I did see was amazing . and again hotel was amazing and so was staff.

We came for the car show put on by the Murphy Art Center,...
We came for the car show put on by the Murphy Art Center, which was great! We would come again for it. Olive's Porch has many handmade items and has classes during the year. There are plenty of places to eat and shops to explore in town that we enjoyed. The Mason Bar is a nice place to have dinner and relax listening to a band as well as have an ice cream at Mimo's. Shoe Bootie's has very good food. They are in the middle putting in a Round About in center of town, but we got around it fine. Any one interested in architecture will find the older buildings very interesting! The town is very walkable . The Sunset Motel is a nice old fashioned motel with great staff! Not far from town is the Cherokee Casino with lodging and the Stonebrook Lodge as well that has a nice breakfast.
In Fall, the John C. Campbell Folk School puts on a wonderful Fall Festival in October where there many handmade items, demos and music. A great day out!

Murphy is a small quaint town with an active downtown and...
Murphy is a small quaint town with an active downtown and sufficient market around it, located in the foothills of the mountains. Traffic is easy for the most part, with school zones at peak time being the notable exception. The river walk is very nice, but no public restrooms. There is a large number of small private businesses and restaurants, plus most big fast food chains are having at least one restaurant in the area.

The location was excellent close to the town with many bars and restaurants within walking distance. The room was warm, comfortable, quiet and of reasonable size.. The bathroom was small, however, was modern and had a bath and shower. There was a small continental breakfast to get you started, however, the room had a fidge, microwave and good coffee making facilities. Value was very good in comparison to more modern hotels, which were well outside of town. Overall an excellent stay.

The hotel is just great: amazing location with breathtaking views. The room was very comfortable, clean and new. It was very quiet and relaxing, we could sleep very well here. Breakfast was great as well. All the personal was super friendly and helpful.
