John was great, very polite and professional when he called to confirm my reservation. The cottage was very spacious and pleasantly decorated. Sitting area and beds were very comfortable. All the amenities you'd expect at a beautiful lakeside cottage we're right there. It also has a great patio area and sugar sand beach down to the our awesome Lake Huron. Price wasn't much more than a basic hotel room either. Will definitely be going to stay again in the summer. Thanks.

We loved the view from the living room sliders: Straight on to beautiful Lake Huron, it was beautiful enough to spend the weekend looking out. We also enjoyed the fireplace (we stayed in very early march). The house was sizable and well stocked with kitchen items. You do have to purchase your own firewood and propane- which is reasonable. The beach was huge and private and the patio provided a table and chairs for early morning coffee. The skies are dark enough at night for some incredible stargazing and the sunrises are lovely. The area itself is perfect with restaurants supermarkets fast food and hiking all nearby

I have been coming to Oscoda for 60 years but have a place...

I have been coming to Oscoda for 60 years but have a place that is usually available for me to stay. I love the area. The beach, the river, the local parks and scenic areas. The West River Road scenic byway has some very nice visitor attractions. The parks along the Ausable as well as the Huron Lake parks are very nice. The Historical museum is a really nice little hidden treasure and is very well done. Food options are limited but some really good places for reasonable prices (G's, Dairy Queen, Chinese, subs) East Tawas is only minutes away and has what Oscoda may lack! This is the first time I have stayed in a hotel and it was a very good option!!

It has everything you need to enjoy yourselves.

It has everything you need to enjoy yourselves. Golfing, fishing, hunting camping hiking, boating, water skiing. It's all here. That nightlife is great. The beaches are wonderful. That's a clean town with very nice people.

The view of the beach was beautiful but the furniture, beds and decor were very outdated. The pool/hot tub also needs some repairs. Tile falling off, paint chipping, hole in the bottom of the hot tub that is very dangerous.

Oscoda is a beautiful place with some really beautiful beaches. There is so much to do and see there! I have been going there for the past 30 years and it is only getting better. I hate having to leave.

Billed me twice. Bugs.

Billed me twice. Bugs. Cut leg 3 times on metal sticking out from bed. I said I couldn't walk well and wanted room by elevator or door by parking. No elevator. Stayed in room both days because could not get up and down stairs. Took room for hotter for shoulder. Didn't work because all jets on bottom and tub extremely high to get in a d out. Booking.com took my full payment. Then hotel charged me again and would not reverse it.

My family and I have never been to Oscoda and would be more...

My family and I have never been to Oscoda and would be more then happy to go back. The water was beautiful, the views are amazing, there was so many different things going on from art shows to movies or live music on the beaches , etc... I would highly recommend going there if you have not yet and if you have I would say go back! We can't wait to to back to Oscoda and hopefully next time book one of the resorts or cabins/houses.
