United StatesTypical hotel food, tasted good, plenty of it and very clean. We brought our dog. She was met with a healthy dental treat for a welcome. One very nice staff lady brought me a poo bag when I needed a 2nd one on our walk about. She was so kind and friendly. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean. No carpet! which I love the nice clean floors. I will stay there every time I go to Chico.

We attended the Butte College Graduation Ceremony and stayed...
We attended the Butte College Graduation Ceremony and stayed an additional day to visit Paradise Lake. The lake was very clean and the facilities were well maintained. Plenty of trout caught in the mid morning hours. We had lunch at Hill Top Cafe in Magalia and couldn't be happier with the service and food. Overall experience of Paradise was Fantastic.

Paradise is an a quaint town and capable of enjoying it in...
Paradise is an a quaint town and capable of enjoying it in one day, however, I wish I would’ve had the opportunity to explore more of the hiking in Butte County.
The drive from the 99 just south Chico is breathtaking.
I stayed at the Ponderosa Gardens Motel and found the location a good fit for being within walking distance of restaurants, a grocery outlet, and liquor stores.
There is a nice walking trail that goes through the community and is safe place to walk with children and dogs as well.
I have never been to this town but felt very welcome and I just so happened to pull into town during their Gold Nugget Days parade. This made the town and the amount of people out and about a lot more fun and inviting.
I had a great meal at Cozy diner which was an easy walk from the motel. I also went and visited the Gold Nugget Museum which has a wealth of information about the sizable gold nugget that was found in the area.
Paradise is a lovely place to visit. The people who live there are friendly, helpful and kind.
This town is indeed of Phoenix rising from the ashes, from the Camp Fire in 2017.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This very rustic Charming Hotel is short on modernization but there's no shortage of charm and Superior stuff. That's not the fanciest hotel but it's the most comfortable I've been in a long time it's very rustic but it's better than anything in Chico and I know that because I moved to this hotel after 2 days in Chico. I even overbooked the night and they were kind enough to cancel that overbooking. Paradise is lovely and well on her way to being back on her feet.

so very quaint the rooms are like little studio apartments. We had a jet tub and didn’t even ask for it. i would highly recommend this hotel. pool area is gorgeous every room has private patio facing pool. Breakfast is included. Win win all around!
