Love to be at the beach and Pismo is a nice town to stay at. The beach is clean and great for walking. We love having breakfast at Penny's American Diner. Cool Cat Cafe is also another favorite.

Went to walk with my son by the beach below the property...

Went to walk with my son by the beach below the property where we stayed before we head home. Very nice although it was cold and cloudy. I was amazed by the large clamshells along the beach. Tempted to collect but could not believe that in order for you to do so you need a permit! Along with that you need a device to measure the clam. It is very specific. If it falls a certain measurement, you need to throw it back and on top of that you can only collect 10 pieces.

I like Pismo beach because you can take your dog on beach...

I like Pismo beach because you can take your dog on beach with a leash. Many people with dogs. There are lots of shops and restaurants. It is a small enough beach that it doesn’t feel crowded, and at the same time has plenty of attractions. Very beautiful beach. I recommend a clam chowder bowl at the Splash Cafe, order ahead online as there is always a line.

Walking on the pier was the most fun.

Walking on the pier was the most fun. Many choices of restaurants, the ones we went to were excellent value and excellent food. The beach is very large and not terribly crowded. In general the atmosphere in the town was pretty chill, people were friendly and welcoming.

Pismo is close to other beach towns, Plenty to do in Pismo...

Pismo is close to other beach towns, Plenty to do in Pismo with family or a romantic get away. Small locally owned business in the downtown area Rosa's Italian or at the beach Brads, Steak dinner with an ocean view at Vista's, Live Music at Harrys. Used Lyft to get around made it easier avoiding finding a place to park at the pier. Enjoy the Ice Cream, Candy, Coffee shops, and more shops.

Pismo beach is great. We can't wait to go back.

Pismo beach is great. We can't wait to go back. Great beach to walk in in the morning and afternoon. There was a great vibe on on the boardwalk. Pismo is very dog friendly. My son loved Hot Shots. It was great to have a pool hall/arcade where both adults and children could hang out and have a good time.

The hotel is not really cheap but it was worth every cent! It is situated directly on the beach - to be precise on top of a cliff. There are stairs down to the sandy beach, that is very nice. The view from the terrace down the cliff to the sea, the beach and on the pelican colony is wonderful. On the terrace there are (gas powered) fire places - so beautiful in the evening. Also from the Jacuzzi you can see to the sea. Also in the rooms there are gas powered fire places. I loved it!

The little extras that the hotel offers for the kids and for the beach is fab. On arrival they were given a bucket and spade, you could also get beach chairs and body boards for the beach which was a lovely touch. The room was a great size. The Location overlooking the beach was fantastic and the bar area was lovely.
