Punta Gorda is a great place to visit!
Punta Gorda is a great place to visit! We enjoyed downtown and had some great food -- in particular, Toula's and Carmelo's. Just over the bridge into Port Charlotte on Edgewater Drive is a wonderful park, William R. Gaines, Jr. Veterans Memorial Park, with awesome playground, pickleball, ADA kayak launch, walking paths, exercise stations, etc. Fisherman's Village is another wonderful place to visit.

Punta Gorda is a nice area; it was close for us due to visiting some friends & family here. I loved the Heritage Museum. That was about the best in the area. I also liked that were near a canal to either fish, kayak or boat. Tho we did none of these it was great to have near.

LOVED the home, neighborhood, gorgeous pool, location,...
LOVED the home, neighborhood, gorgeous pool, location, accessibility and hospitality of the host and mangers. They 'guide to Punta Gorda' provided by the host was outstanding, and we LOVED the restaurants, and sightseeing attractions: botanical garden, military museum, the multiple parks and walk ways, and the nearby visit to Edison estate.

Watch for discounts, I spent way too much with ocean view and deck. They would close down restaurants for activities or even the pool area. I went beginning of March, it was a good time for temperature to visit.

Never came to Punta Gorda before this trip.
Never came to Punta Gorda before this trip. We loved it the city itself had a lot to offer. The parks, walkways by the water. The botanical garden. The open market where people were selling handmade stuff. We enjoyed it all. And the beach was small but very comfy.

We make a point of trying different places in Florida, and...
We make a point of trying different places in Florida, and we really liked Punta Gorda. It was clean, easy to drive around, and there were lots of places to go to within a 2 hour driving time.
We we on the Swamp Buggy Eco Tour that was about a 40 minute drive. Great value for an hour and a half tour seeing all kinds of animals up close and personal. We also did a harbor tour that was right at the dock we were staying at Fisherman's Village Suites.
We took a drive down to Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. It was a hop to Port Charlotte, so we did some shopping there.
It's a very active community with tons of water sports, hiking, biking, pickleball, tennis etc. Nice area, worth the visit.

Beautiful, well thought out, and spacious 2 queen bedroom suite with kitchen, lounge and diner. Felt brand new or at least excellently maintained and clean. This was ideal stop off and allowed us to chill out for the evening with our own bottle of wine and pizza having been in a hotel previously. I think Punta Gorda is underestimated as a location and this was at a very pleasant end of the city. Immediate access to boat excursions and above a pretty arcade of shops with a few bars and a restaurant.

We had several experiences of Florida hotelrooms for 5 people in a row and this was by far the best. It was not too cramped, even though the five of us stayed in the same room. There were towels and linen for five (which I couldn't say about the other hotels we went to). Beds were comfy, bathroom was really nice and had great shampoo, shower gel and even loiton in there. The breakfast was great.

It is an incredible hotel, its 3 beautiful pools and the super friendly staff, I really give it a 10 out of 10 without thinking about it, I would return soon, the girl at the bar was very attentive
