Cute house with plenty of room to spread out. The area was very quiet, with the exception of the pond full of frogs right behind the house that were loud at night, but still very relaxing. Beach access was quite close and super easy for our young kids (2 and 4). Having a yard was nice for our littles to play in when we weren’t at the beach. The rooms were good sized, with plenty of space for a pack n play for our infant (not provided by the property). All in all, it was a great place for our family.

What Guests Said About Rockaway Beach:

My sister and I spent two nights here.

My sister and I spent two nights here. On the first night we ate dinner at a nearby beachfront restaurant, and it was fine. The beach is wonderful. The second day we took the Oregon Scenic Railroad trip to Garibaldi and back. It was fun, and we saw so much of the beautiful Oregon Coast. The sea stacks were amazing for my sister to see as a visitor. Afterwards, we found a few antique stores to wander through and had dinner. I had another beach visit before we left the next morning, and we headed North to Cannon Beach and on to Astoria. It was a great trip. I think if you are looking for a beach to enjoy, it would be a nice QUIET place. There is not much happening and a very small selection of restaurants. Remember PNW beaches are different from Florida beaches :)

We love Rockaway Beach!

We love Rockaway Beach! The beach is beautiful and not as busy or expensive as Cannon Beach. Great little shops and places to eat! The train to Garibaldi is fun (we did that several years ago-not this visit)!

I love Rockaway Beach, been going there through out the years! They made some. Improvements to get down on the beach I like it better! Easier for those who might be a bit older or other! Bakery makes the best donuts, and the smokehouse has the best food hands down, Yummy cod or halibut, best chowder I've ate in along time! Check out the shops in town! I really like the beachcrafters mall, neat items in the store! Handmade! The town has alot to offer! Such a neat little town, nice people! I usually go down thru the week, not real crowded Yet!

Always an amazing place to stay with tons of local restaurants and shops friendly faces amazing beaches that aren’t over crowded nice small town feels like home away from home. Flamingo Jim’s is definitely the #1 gift shop in town and lakeside diner is our favorite spot to eat with options for everyone and karaoke at night as well as a bar, always filled with locals. It’s an easy town to navigate and the train and playgrounds make it fun for all ages

Great variety of restaurants and cafes. Good art galleries.

Great variety of restaurants and cafes. Good art galleries. There was a village fair on Thursday night. It is a weekly fair with vendors for every thing from books to donuts! A good singer sang oldies but goodies almost nonstop! Rock away beach is in about the center of the northern coast in Oregon so it is easy to visit other interesting places.

Rockaway Beach has both a small town vibe with homey, independent restaurants and stores, and some condo/commercial rental properties, but isn't overly touristy. There are nearby places to hike in addition to the beach. The railroad ride gives you a bit of local history.

I've been going to the beach in the month of March for years now as it is my birthday month. We started at Seaside and felt driven out by the cost of hotels and the large amount of people. We then decided Rockaway was more fitting for us. We fell in love with Surfside Resort and the town of Rockaway. We will continue to return to this gem of a town and support this local community.

The staff was pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a mini fridge and microwave, which I did not expect. Cable tv with hbo. It's an older Coastal hotel. It's not high end and the value is amazing! There's easy access to the beach. We would definitely stay again!
