Very clean and well maintained. We also loved the thought that went into small things in this condo such as the extra hooks located on the patio and throughout the condo for hanging beach items and beach towels.

Sanibel used to me more popular before the hurricane hit.

Sanibel used to me more popular before the hurricane hit. However, they are slowly coming back . I found the restaurants in the island a bit pricey for what they offer (The Bubbleroom, Thistle Lodge Restaurant, to name a few). Jerry's is a good place to buy groceries but a bit pricey too. Drive a bit more and visit Publix (Imagine how expensive Jerry's is, if Publix is a cheaper option!) Rosalitas was a great Mexican Restaurant. Great food and big portions.

We HATE the no-see-ums!!!

We HATE the no-see-ums!!! We were out before sunrise and for sunset most days. We tried the no-see-um spray and a spray for biting insects, but neither worked very well, and that was with long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and hoods up. FYI, we were on Captiva for 5 days before moving over to Sanibel, and there seemed to be far fewer biting insects and bites at Captiva. I was able to wear shorts and tank top while practicing yoga every morning and evening and got minimal bites there. I don't know what they do on Captiva to keep the bugs down, but Sanibel might want to ask their neighbor what they do. We enjoyed cruising around the island in a rented convertible. Lots of excellent restaurants to choose from, although our favorites were on Captiva. We're poor. This was our first vacation in 12 years. Sanibel seems to be the poor man's Captiva, but not as crowded and run down as Ft Myers. If I were going to do it again, I'd spend more time on Captiva and just visit Sanibel. And NOT worry about the cost. It's vacation. Vacation is no time to be worrying about strict budgets and cutting corners on enjoying the adventure.

Love it here! Quiet and easy to get around.

Love it here! Quiet and easy to get around. Great restaurants. Shell hunting was fun! We rented bikes and saw the island through the paths which were great. We missed the Shell museum, which everybody said is fantastic, it’s on our list for next year. If you go, you must go to dinner at Wickies, expensive but a five star experience.

It's a great island as long as you have a short walk to the beach. Not too crowded but the traffic does back up. Really long beaches great for walking, also some trails here and there. Great place for viewing birds. Check out the JN Ding Darling Refuge and CROW animal rehab. If looking for a church, Sanibel Community Church is true to the Bible.

Well situated on Sanibel in peaceful location (VERY peaceful!) right by Lighthouse Beach. Apartment was everything you could wish for - well laid out, well equipped and very comfy. Location is not far from the main area with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Sanibel itself has recovered well from the awful hurricanes in recent years and we were very glad we chose to return there.

The apartment was beautiful, so clean and home from home. We opened the door and were blown away! The location is so close to all restaurants and Jerry’s. All the staff at the location were friendly and the host was amazing!! A grandma, mum and grandchild of 5 years. Fantastic pool and sunsets and sunrise watched on the balcony! We will be back !!! We love Sanibel and we love sundial resort!
