I really enjoyed visiting the Blue Hole!

I really enjoyed visiting the Blue Hole! When I arrived in Santa Rosa late at night I spent a bit of time looking on Google Maps for Tourist attractions in Santa Rosa because I knew that I would have a couple of spare hours in the morning before I hit the road the next day. I was pleased to find that the Blue Hole was close by and it looked real exciting! The water was nice and cold and it was just what I needed to wake me up to get me going. No need to drink a cup of Coffee to start the day when I can plunge in the fresh water instead! On my way out I gassed up at the Sinclair Gas station. I went inside to look for a soda fountain so I could fill up my water bottle with water (most soda fountains are directly connected to the store's water line) however to my surprise the store didn't have one :( Knowing that I would be driving through the hot desert of New Mexico all day I knew that I must have water with me. I settled on buying a 1.5 liter Essentia water bottle. It was pricey but it saved me from dehydration. I wish the Hotel had a water bottle fill up station so I didn't have to look elsewhere in town to fill up water. Overall, I would definitely come back to Santa Rosa someday if I was passing through on a road trip.

In my experience of cross country road trips, many of the areas where the reasonably priced hotels are located are not so nice. Santa Rosa is a smaller town and therefore not as many of the negative issues.

Favorite spot was the Rudolfo Anaya memorial and hiking trails along the creek & around the park lake & wi Bit. We ate at Chico's--mexican food & home made ice cream. Pinon one is delish! Joseph's makes excellent breakfasts also. Nice Santa Rosa, Route 66 & NM curio & wearable products. The Blue Hole is always beautiful to see. I'm not a swimmer but those who are enjoy the experience. Excellent place to dive.

Santa Rosa is a small town, I went there to visit my mother in law’s family. She grew up there and in puert de Luna. Blue hole is right in front of this hotel so that was amazing. I just really wish there was a pool. You will find lakes around Santa Rosa and Pecos river. the silver moon restaurant which was delicious.

You people were unwilling to help solve this problem, and kept referring me to the 3rd party saying it was the hotels responsibility. Your representatives were rude and short with their answers and actions. I will continue to give terrible reviews to both parties involved, and can only hope that PayPal will help me solve this issue.

Lobby and staff were pleasant. Room was clean. Noise from freeway was terrible. The breakfast was cold eggs and bacon. Not up to the usual standards of Holiday Inn Express. Town needs more dinner options. Silver Moon is not very good.

Made reservation and advise the website. I wanted a carpeted floor because I have arthritis and is difficult for me to walk on hard surface. When I checked in the girl look like she was absolutely on crack cocaine. She’s in procedure to tell me your rooms do not come with carpet even though the photographs on the website showed they did? I ended up paying 35+ dollars additional to upgrade the room for that price. I could’ve had a nicer hotel room overall somewhere else!
