HungaryI like this old school motel where you park right by your door — no need to haul our stuff a great distance, and it’s easy to depart early the next morning. The price was right for those on a strict budget. It was a great place to avoid the impending winter storm just to the west and north. Had bananas and yoghurt for a quick breakfast. We needed good coffee which we got at Dunkin Donuts right by I-65. Walmart was relatively close in the next town. I’ve paid a lot more at recognized hotel chains that were not nearly as clean as this place!

Was volunteering in the area.
Was volunteering in the area. Didn't get to do any exploring unfortunately. Lots of good places to eat. I recommend the Chinese place on the main Thorofare. The food was tasty and it was a buffet.

The Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg had been pretty good during...
The Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg had been pretty good during previous adventures. However, the service, during this adventure, left something to be desired. Didn't even leave the server a tip, because her service was substandard. There is a Waffle House, a Hardee's and a Casey's General Store available. So, alternative dining options do exist.
Scottsburg is a good location for an overnight stay during through travel to Louisville (only a half hour away), or to Hanover/Madison (only about a 45 minute drive).

This was the best family owned hotel I have stayed in.
This was the best family owned hotel I have stayed in. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were so comfortable I could have slept much longer but check out was close. Great place to stay. I will stay there again.

We find restaurants that have a hot breakfast so we can eat...
We find restaurants that have a hot breakfast so we can eat a good meal & be on our way. Coffee maker not working, no fruit, no eggs or meat. They did have rolls & waffles & juice.
Rest of the place was horrible, Looks like someone had a fight in our room and nothing was fixed.

After staying only a few days at Campbell's inn motel...
After staying only a few days at Campbell's inn motel realized that their weekly rate didn't include breakfast that they force their way into your rooms everyday even if your still asleep to "clean" aka be nosy and then we had an emergency where we lost all our money and needed to leave and they refused a refund of any of the remainder of our trip because they force you to pay cash only for the weekly rate because in their fine print when for w cash you do not get refunded but don't bother to tell you this before you pay ! Was crappy the people that run it are rude and nosy and they con people will never be returning! They left me and my 8 year old daughter stranded w nothing thanks to their conartist weekly rate

What a perfect little place this motel is! My husband and I stopped here on our way to Tennessee and were so happy and relieved to find the room smelled good, it was super cute, clean, comfortable and affordable. I would definitely stay here again. We also had fun exploring the cute little downtown.

The room was so spacious i really would love to go back when I can stay longer. We stayed in another hotel in the area, and Hampton fit our need much better.
