United StatesThere was no breakfast at this location but the ladies at the front desk directed us to a restaurant very close by that we were unaware of, and turned out to be our new favorite Soldotna breakfast/lunch place! We were in town for a wedding of former members of our youth program, and we decided last minute on 4th of July weekend not to come down with our camper. Our room was comfortable, quiet, the bed amazing!, the bathroom clean. We were glad to have been able to get a room on such short notice! The front desk communicated with us prior to arrival and everything was ready the moment we arrived! Excellent service!

United StatesThe check-in staff was friendly and helpful enough. I let her know I wasn't happy about having to come back to Soldotna to check in, since I was in Soldotna when I made the booking. I felt that important information should be included in the booking confirmation. She handled it by ignoring the comment multiple times. She still has promise as a great employee. With a little more time on the job, she may gain better tools to deal with these kinds of issues.

Soldotna is a wonderful town with access to the best salmon fishing in the world and most beautiful nature site seeing and hiking opportunities.
Great community market every Wednesday during the summer June-August.
More economical than other equal and larger cities on the peninsula.

Soldotna had so much more to offer than we expected.
Soldotna had so much more to offer than we expected. It is a great home base for exploring the Kenai Peninsula. There is so much to do right in town as well. We were able to take part in a 5K race, enjoy a city park with a great boardwalk along the river, and visit the Kenai Nationail Widllife Refuge for information and great hikes.
Kenai River Brewing had great beer and food after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. Fred Meyer was a great stop for groceries and so much more.

Soldotna is a wonderful town filled with friendly locals.
Soldotna is a wonderful town filled with friendly locals. The Kenai River is beautiful with the best salmon fishing! In the end of July there will be fish counts of 200,000 sockeye salmon per day coming upstream, so get your hook in the river and you are bound to catch your limit by lunchtime. So many coffee places and cool cafes like Lucy's Market in a quaint bookstore with incredible freshly baked bread and Italian-style press-grilled sandwiches!

The Soldotna Inn is centrally located between Soldotna and Kenai. It is an hour and a half away from Homer and Seward. The Kenai River flows through the city. Excellent restaurants, catering to all incomes, are springing up through Kenai and Soldotna. Nature is right outside your door. The Soldotna Inn is a quiet place to work or just relax. I found an unpretentious room at an excellent price, with a front desk that will aide me in directions, places to eat and things to do. This is the time to experience Soldotna in its growing phase. What else could I want?

Enjoyed Mainstreet Tap & Grill. Had great potato skins, beer and wine. Staff was super friendly, had a great time.

My room in August was 83° and NO AIR CONDITIONING, and the temperature outside was only 63° I opened the window, had a fan running around the clock, didn't help. Horrible night sleep. The bed was very hard and sounded like it was going to fall apart when I laid down & I'm not a big person 5'2" and 135lbs. Also right on a major street so I couldn't have the window open at night due to noise.

Central to where we needed to be. ie we had rental car and had to be back in Anchorage by certain date. Staying in Soldotna allowed us to get to Homer and back in a day.
