We could not have found a better gem to spend our Thanksgiving weekend in. This was a very last minute holiday for us thinking we’ll spend Thanksgiving at home but thank goodness I started looking around. This was the first property I found by searching around in Wyoming and we stuck with it after a couple of scrolls realizing this could be the best we get and it totally was! From the beginning, Dale was very thoughtful and communication was always quick - he really went above and beyond to make sure we’re comfortable. We had a small hiccup with our car this being the first long roadtrip in the cold and asked him if he could give us some pointers, he went out of his way to make some phone calls for us and try to help us out; he even made sure to check in with us to make sure we’ll make it safely! (We’ve definitely learned our lesson) Even though we packed our own baby gear due to past experiences, a high chair and a pack and play were available at the property. It wasn’t hard for us to baby proof given that we weren’t home; only needed to move the arrangements high up and then pop them back before checking out. All the amenities left for us were absolutely amazing but I’m still thinking of that bread.. The kitchen was more than we could’ve expected in order to cook our Thanksgiving meal which was great to have here. Such a comfortable and cozy home. Everything is designed very nicely and you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into it. Really quiet area and you might be lucky to see the deers too! It was an awesome weekend for everyone to decompress. Thank you again Dale! We will definitely be back!

The owner was lovely! I had to call to update that I will arrive much later than I expected. The owner was nice, helped me make the payment remotely, and made sure that I will enter the room and get my keys at a very late hour. Thank you!

You must go to the Thai place. It is the BEST food.

You must go to the Thai place. It is the BEST food. My husband and I are coming from LA, and we talk about this Thai place all the time. There is a bakery across the street- go there too! Those two places and the free hot springs, you have a great trip. But Im telling you, the Thai place. It is amazing!

We did the dinosaur dig and floated Wind River Canyon.

We did the dinosaur dig and floated Wind River Canyon. We fished a little bit, but it would have been nice to have one more day of that. My husband actually grew up in the area and even he was surprised at how great the float trip and museum/dig were. Our local guides gave us such customized/personal experiences that we believe would only be likely in a small town.

Of course the hot springs are the main attraction, but there...

Of course the hot springs are the main attraction, but there are some real treasures in town such as the Broadway Bakery and Copper Coo (coffee). The town is compact enough that walking 4-6 blocks is easy and there are not large crowds.

Thermopolis is great, not for the town but for the amenities...

Thermopolis is great, not for the town but for the amenities. The hot springs are the draw and I cant wait for Star Plunge to reopen. The Hot Springs Park is a must, it has breath taking thermal pools, waterfalls cascading down mineral deposits emptying into the river. a Suspension Bridge to walk across for an amazing view, a short drive up the road to see buffalo. Wind River Canyon is a must drive as well!!! The Safari Restaurant is the best food in Thermopolis. If you want a good "Vegas Style" casino meal, head over to Wind River Casino, its a cool place to enjoy the Casino Atmosphere without the Vegas prices.

Thermopolis is one of our favorite destinations.

Thermopolis is one of our favorite destinations. We enjoy the trip through the Wind River Canyon and the proximity to the Wind River Casino. There is a lot to see near Thermopolis. As wildlife photographers we enjoy the bison area and after a busy day a good soak in the mineral pools is great. We plan to return

I have been visiting Thermop for over 60 years.

I have been visiting Thermop for over 60 years. I had relatives that lived there for the 1rst 1/2 of my life & now go to visit friends. In youth the water was fun for swimming & meeting friends. In my "older years" the healing content of the water is my reason for visiting Thermop. There is a free state ran bathhouse, as well as, the state park [which has a charge] & has a couple of large pools (1 inside - 1 outside) & small pools in both areas of various temperatures. Both places are clean & have life guards on site. The majority of the people who frequent the pools are very friendly; & each time we go for a soak we enjoy meeting people from all over the country.

Disappointing - What previous guests thought, 196 reviews
We never saw the staff, but our key was available for us and the cabin to our liking. It was a quiet place, with good beds. Since we stayed there on Labour Day we had some difficulties finding a restaurant, but in the end had dinner at the Hot Springs Hotel & Spa which was excellent and very closeby. We had breakfast at the Black Bear Café, also closeby and very good and cozy.

Good location. The bath and pool are a nice addition. The bathroom looked recently remodelled, and the room was clean, apart from dead flies. The hotel seemed understaffed, but the staff did their best.
