We took the Denali Gold Tour and Richard was a great tour...

We took the Denali Gold Tour and Richard was a great tour guide! We learned a lot about the history of the region and were shown how to pan of gold. If you have the time, I encourage you to make a reservation. Also, stop at Wal-Mike’s for a visit. We enjoyed looking at all Mike had to offer along with his wisdom and humor. So pleased to have stayed in Trapper Cheek to enjoy all it had to offer.

If you arrive into Anchorage later in the day, this is a...

If you arrive into Anchorage later in the day, this is a convenient place to stop for the night between Anchorage and Denali, but isn't much of a destination of its own. Trapper Creek itself is mostly a junction of two roads without much else. You also don't get mountain views because of all the trees. I had to drive 20 miles up the road to have a view of Denali.

Everything about this property was amazing!

Everything about this property was amazing! Loved the view off the back deck. The hosts made us feel right at home and more than provided all we needed for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend that those traveling to or from Denali or stopping off in talkeetna book this place. We were able to see Mt Denali off the back deck. So wonderful!
