Beside the town itself being cute with great restaurants, easily walkable and fun, it is perfectly located as a base for several day trips--the peninsula just to the north has vineyards with wine and cider. The views are beautiful and the light house is cool. Then, to the west is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. After checking out it was a beautiful, not too long drive along with coast over the Mackinac bridge. Great location!!

I love the vibe of traverse city and definitely plan on coming back. We had a wonderful meal at the Cottage and would definitely go there again. We drove up the Leelanau peninsula to Northport and it was beautiful. Had lunch in Northport at a cozy cafe in town and again the food was terrific. We wish we would have had more time to shop and do other things.

Very nice town with cute shops and restaurants. Centrally located to many activities. I would definitely go back! We booked a wine tour trip for four hours and our driver was excellent through the movie star tour. We had brian. Our visit to Sutton‘s Bay was very nice as we walked around enjoying the shops. Sleeping Bear dunes was awesome! Two 70 year-old woman actually walked up. !

Awesome city! So many beaches and cute shops to visit! Everyone else was super kind and helpful! Loved Nittolo's Little Italy on main street- our waitress was the sweetest and the food was delicious!

Nice city.

Nice city. They didn’t have a chain pharmacy in town but food was good. Especially the cherry pie at Grand Traverse pie co. We were mostly there for ferry and wine. Bayshore hotel was super convenient for ferry to mackinaw island and also close to the bridge so convenient. We stayed near ferry so we drove into town - quick 5 -10 minute drive. We took a wine tour to 3 wineries but basically it was just the magic bus shuttle bus who waited an Hour for us at each stop.might be fun with friends. It was convenient but fyi, It didn’t include any tastings (extra when you get there) so we had fun but that might be good to know going in. You get the shuttle at the civic center. Not by the door but out in the further parking lot so don’t wait by the door for the shuttle if you take it. Look for a blue bus.

Loved the 100th birthday celebration of the Cherry Festival. Loved that fact that so near to many orchards. Traverse City is simply a great place. Downtown is fun, lots of shopping, fun places for meals. central location to go up both peninsulas for further activities. Climate was wonderful, warm with a cool breeze. We really enjoyed our time there.

Amazing new hotel with great and clean rooms! Entire place was spotless and well set up, and had the feel of a college apartment with all of the amenities in the main lobby! Lounge area, fussball table, and a modern looking fitness center. The hotel was at the base of a hill with tall trees, which made for a great view from the room! Very close to downtown Traverse City as well and cheaper than other hotels in the heart of town. This is one of the very few hotels that exceeded my overall expectations.
