We were both very pleased with breakfast, especially having meat-protein options along with the usual eggs/French toast, cereals, fruit, etc. The cinnamon bun was delicious. The room, as well as the rest of the motel, seemed especially clean. Bed was comfortable, room was big enough.

The location and having a nice restaurant on the property so we didn't have to leave the hotel was a bonus. Also, a wonderful surprise was the continental breakfast the next day and being able to eat in the restaurant. The wait staff was so kind and helpful.

My family and I only stayed one night but wish that our schedule had allowed for longer. I was especially sorry to miss the Colby College Art Museum. The downtown has benefitted from a huge influx of money to rejuvenate the town and it shows. It's still a little rough around the edges but we still enjoyed our brief visit. For dinner we walked along the main drag peeking at the menus and inside the various restaurants. OPA looked and smelled amazing (although not the basement seating if you're even a little claustrophobic). It would have been our first choice, but they were packed on a Tuesday evening. Reserve well before if you want to give it a try. We ended up at Charros' Theater Mexican Restaurant for dinner. I can't speak to the inside as it was a lovely evening and we sat at an outdoor table. We each ordered something different and agreed it was the best Mexican food we'd had in ages. My husband raved about the carnitas. The regular margarita was the only disappointment. But my Modello hit the spot. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Before heading to our room for the night we had a relaxing a digestif on the terrace at the Lockwood Hotel. We had breakfast at the charming Wild Clover Cafe & Market. The decor is quirky but inviting. We had specialty coffees and shared various freshly baked goods (so moist!). Two of our party had the Bauern Frushtuck and loved the blueberry sausages and spread.

It’s a small town.

It’s a small town. There are plenty of trails there and great hospitals! Everyone in town is really friendly!!! Where we were at there was convenient shopping at many local businesses within walking distance.

We were called 2 days before our arrival on a holiday weekend to be told by management that we were not welcomed because we set a microwave on fire, even though it was an electrical fire. I explained to him that he can't do that to us 2 days prior to arrival on a long holiday weekend. The manager didn't care and told me he could do what he wanted to do. Even though we had been staying in this hotel numerous times a year for the past 7 years. You could call us frequent fliers I would say.

This town of Waterville is amazing to lurk through, 2 cent bridge wasn’t just a bridge but the history due to it being there per our guide and friend David and Lisa Connolly of Fireside Inn made it better. Colby College, the beautiful homes and the atmosphere was awesome. The temperatures stayed in the 70’s unlike San Antonio. The foods in Waterville are good in every restaurant but the bakery at the Governor’s Restaurant is amazing, eclairs that weigh about 2 pounds. Made me go off my diet as it took 3 days to finish it.

Hotel was spotless and cheerful. I cannot say enough about the hard-working staff! Everyone in Maine is suffering staff shortages. The folks working the hotel and specifically the pub/restaurant are amazing. A tour bus showed up just as we ordered dinner. Only two ladies were working (one was the bar tender)...they were rushed off their feet, but they were professional, cheerful, and polite to everyone. Great job! Oh, and the food was great!!

Sizeable, clean and comfortable rooms. Ideal for passing through or visiting Waterville, although not a lot going on in the town. Located close to the I-90. Gym facilities were basic but fine to use.
