We were driving from Kruger to George and Sewende Hemel was an excellent place to stop for the night. We were able to order both dinner and breakfast and the meals were delicious and plentiful. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. We arrived late and left early so did not get to enjoy the pool but the grounds were lovely and the location was very convenient and safe. We would definitely stay here again.

The Retief Guest Farm is outside Kroonstad and off the N1...

The Retief Guest Farm is outside Kroonstad and off the N1 making it convenient to find. Our brief visit to the town was not an experience that I would recommend, the roads are in poor repair, and signage to orderly shopping centers difficult to find.

Kronstad is such a small nice place to visit.

Kronstad is such a small nice place to visit. The issue of potholes is the municipal issues. If potholes could be fixed, it will be nice to drive around. The shops and mall are very close in the area. You get everything within small radius. Boskoppie was also outstanding.

While travelling between East London and Kruger Park we passed through a number of smaller towns and most are in a terrible condition. Kroonstad still seems to be holding things together and worth considering if you need to find a spot to overnight during a long trip

We arrived late bc we were turned back at the toll gate as...

We arrived late bc we were turned back at the toll gate as they would not accept my card and I never travel with cash. Yet the host Kevin was friendly and welcoming and walked all the way to our room to show us exactly where it was as we were too exhausted to think straight! Loved all the cats who welcomed us and appreciated that they were in good condition althought it appeared that they were breeding without control? It would have been nice to have the option of buying treats for them in the room so that animal lovers like ourselves had something to spoil them with.

I was so impressed that they provided electric blankets and additional blankets in the units. The internet connection was strong and the beds are comfortable. We had liquid milk in the fridge too. Honestly 10/10

Like all the other town in South Africa with a ANC...

Like all the other town in South Africa with a ANC municipality, potholes, dirty and not maintained at all. Including LOAD SHEDDING. The stay at DIE HOF GUESTHOUSE was one for the books can not complain will recommend this guesthouse to everybody for a nice relaxed stay.
