Location, facilities, game drives!

Our whole experience at Kuname was magnificent. I could spend days writing about it but I’ll try to write a resume: The whole staff made us feel loved and taken care of. We were welcomed by Glen at our arrival. He explained everything we needed to know. The staff prepared a small cake and the staff sang for me in Zulu happy birthday on my first dinner night at Karongwe. It was truly magical. We stayed 2 nights at The Manor. The house was huge and it comfortably accommodated all the 3 of us. It had a private pool. We loved the amenities, there were repellent so we could use everyday, the housekeeping would prepare our beds for the night and leave slippers and chocolates with a kind message that would change every night. The food was superb. Everyday we could choose our breakfast, lunch and dinner from a menu. Honestly I hope everyone gets to try the Mint Pie that they served one day at lunch: one of the best things I’ve ever tried. The game drives was obviously the highlight: our ranger Geff and tracker Lucky were incredibly helpful and made everything so we could spot the big 5. We spot all of them with our 2 first game drives. It was around 36° and we could spot all of the big 5 real quickly. I got amazed how they tracked the 3 cheetahs at our first game drive. As days goes by, eventually the last game drive it could end up just your grup, at our last, Lucky came to me to check what we wanted to see since we’ve spotted already all the animals we wanted to. I told him we wanted to see a manada of elephants specially with baby elephants. They did it. Our safari was almost ending and they drove us on a trial that there were a full family of elephants. One of the most magical moments I’ve ever experienced. Hats off to Joanna (reservation), Glen (management), Geff and Lucky (game drives), Emily, Sharon, Otsu (kitchen) and everyone at Kuname Lodge. I work with tourism and the staff from Karongwe makes you feel so special that you don’t want to leave.

The safari staff at Becks Safari Lodge are the ones who make the stay incredible. My wife and I were very lucky to be paired with great people such as Rifos (safari ranger) and Patrick (safari tracker) for our six game drives. They are the life and blood of Becks - upbeat, gentle, responsible and very professional. Moses from the hotel staff is also amazing. The stay would not be memorable if it weren't for the care we received from Rifos, Patrick and Moses.

The staff at Chisomo Safari Camp was exceptional. They were extremely accommodating to our group. Some examples - There was a safari ride set up for us on the afternoon we arrived. We arrived at 3:00 and we were off looking for the “big 5” at 3:30PM. - The Manager Thabo offered to have lunch available for us when we arrived from our drive up from Johannesburg - On our last day, we had an early departure scheduled and Thabo accommodated us by having a full hot breakfast available much to our surprise. - We had several in our group that had dietary restrictions. The kitchen staff made sure that breads and other items were specially prepared so they could enjoy their meals as well. - Our guide and tracker(Matthew and Forget) did an exceptional job. They answered all of our many questions about the birds and wildlife. They pointed out things that we would never have spotted on our own as we drove down the roads and in the bush. By the end of our stay, they were as much a part of our group as those of us that were guests. - The facilities are extremely well-maintained and enjoyable to stay at. - Donald, who would walk us back with his torch every night in the dark, made sure that he learned exactly which units we were each staying in after the first night. He went out of his way to talk to us about the animals on the property and his concern for our safety; as well as our return for a visit in the future.

Everything! Great value, great food, great staff, amazing rooms, safari guides were outstanding.

Loved the hospitality, the view, the experience!

Nothing and I was humiliated because of the remarks I wrote in December 2024. The owner through the phone denied us access to the room and told us to get refund from Booking. Com. It was around 24:00 mid night when my wife and I were turned back. We slept in the car along the road and our lives were kept at risk. Our rights as customers were harshly violated by the company. We thought that comments on Booking. Com were meant to help the company improve customer services. The owner was too harsh and inhuman to us. We request Booking. Com to apply strictest consequence management against the barbaric actions of the owner and the company. We request to be compensated reasonable amount of money to redeem our humanity. We also request to be refunded. The whole world must know that the property does not have respect for human rights and the rights for customers.
